It says carbon monoxide in the back of a car. I'm using this as my method but really want to know how he did it. Help?

lump charcoal with a small grill is the only way I know of

I don't know anything to help other than what @letmejoindeath said about using an old car.
Since he was a doctor he probably had a new car but his mother may not have.
Unless you can afford buying an old car. Maybe tell people you are going to have it restored...
So sad we have to resort to increasingly dangerous methods when all we want is a peaceful death.
