what's the difference between doing that method and partial? i know what partial vs full is but how come full gives you all these euphoric feelings but partial doesn't?

Yes it will work. Sorry to be impolite, but a doorknob won´t work then as suspension point, I would a strong beam or a strong branch for your partial hanging and a rope about 12mm thickness (it should carry your weight). But to be honest I would use full suspension, cause this weight help you to pass out immediately and it´s easier than partial. At full suspension I would use a rope between 12 and 15mm. In both cases place the rope between adam´s apple and your jaw. Wish you good luck, it´s sad that you have to hang yourself.

It sounds amazing. However I'm overweight and doubt i could do full suspension (in fear of straight up blocking my airwaves thus causing me to panic and in turn suffer). I'm still considering partial though..

I tried to strangle myself earlier... No plan to go completely through with it... I just wanted an idea of the sensation I would get. It was very uncomfortable. It felt like my head was about to explode and I untied myself after a few seconds. Does hanging yourself give you that same sensation? I thought hanging myself would be an option but I don't think it is if that's how it's going to feel...

I have enough knowledge that I can do partial now. But I'm afraid si keeps me from pushing past the few seconds I need to push past. Should I consider suspension over partial? Idk. No where to do suspension thought. Im so tired and so done.
Yeah, that's how I'm going to ctb eventually.
I'm still afraid of that exploding head sensation thing.
I have no other option though, if I ctb by train it would cost a lot for my family.
This thread is very useful, thankyou, I've been worried about full, due to worries it would fail, or take too long. I've not had any success with partial or ligatures. I know it's the way I'm going to go, I can just feel it.

What kind of knot should be used for a full suspension hanging?.. I can't even tie a hangman's noose. I watched videos on how to do it, but I still can't tie the damn knot. I am a fucking failure at everything.. I need an easier knot to tie.

You don't necessarily need a hangman's knot. You can do an eyelet (get double the length of rope, fold in half, loop around and put rope between folds and it works just as well). Maybe someo e else can explain it better or Google different type of nooses.

I would die for to be unconscious in less than 15 seconds.
I am terrified of the pain doing full suspension when the airway is constricted.
From lostallhope.com:
"If the airway is constricted, and full suspension achieved (i.e. feet fully off the floor), this method, at least initially, is likely to be very painful, as the person struggles for air against the compression of the noose and against the weight of their own body, being supported entirely by the neck and jaw. Clark3 quotes estimates of 1 to 3 minutes before unconsciousness sets in, with full death within 20 minutes."
1 to 3 minutes does not seem much, but the thought of the immense pain is what's keeping me from doing it.
But currently this is the only viable option left for me. So close yet so far away.

No way thats right. I've watch so many hanging videos and people were out in seconds same with personal accounts of full suspension. I've been choked out before wrestling with a friend and was out in what had to of been less than 5 seconds. I have no idea where they are getting that number.

It is true if you use the right technique. I was doing it wrong for a few weeks and getting the pressure in the head. But yesterday I changed to fully and quickly releasing my entire body weight into the noose and found that to be the key–nearly passed out at 8 seconds in three consecutive trials. I made a post in the how to hang megathread that goes a little more in depth

Wow! Did you protect your thyroid cartilage in any way? Cos its my problem No.1 - all the pressure goes to it and less on the sides (where it should be). :[
And no padding makes a difference - its slightly less painful, but weight is weight.

I used a face towel on the front of the neck. Based on this diagram, I'm not sure I was even in contact with the thyroid cartilage, I placed the rope as immediately under the chin as possible

Re-read your message and I think I have a better answer. If you're hitting the right spot and applying all of your weight suddenly, the pressure on your throat should be only a momentary issue before you start trailing out.
It might also be worth noting that I position the caribeaner/noose as high up on the neck as possible and remove all the slack (but do not yank on it) before applying my weight. What kind of knot are you using? Are you positioning it high and removing slack before applying weight? Most importantly–Are you applying your weight all at once?

I'm destroyed.. I don't want to leave my parents and my family, I love them. But I have no choice. I loved my life, I don't want to die but I have to, I would like to just die in my sleep or the be understood, I don't want to do this.. I can't live anymore, I cry day and night
Hugs. I'm in a very similar boat, hate the thought of what this would do to my family. Have you worked with a therapist at all? I stay away from suicidal thoughts with mine but he's a great help in feeling understood
