  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I intend to CTB by full suspension. I'm worried though that something going to go wrong and I'll survive. If I do I may be left with some pretty bad rope burns on my neck. I was thinking of taping a plastic bag to my neck to try and protect it a bit. Does anyone else have any suggestions how to prevent this?

Putting something light such as a tablecloth or a plastic bag would be enough.

A tea towel maybe. Or would that be too bulky.

Ive heard of people placing a sock lengthwise between your neck and the rope. A tea towel might be too bulky depending on the material.

If the anchor point and the rope are strong enough, and the noose knot tightens under the load, then there is not much else to go wrong.

What I'm planning to do, and have been doing already, is to test the setup thoroughly.

Concretely, I tie the rope, use the exact same anchor point, rope and knots I'll be using, but just make the rope longer, and step in it with my foot. Step in it with my full bodyweight, and bounce on it. If everything holds, it should be good. At least, that's the idea.

if your main concern is a ropeburn either wear a turtleneck or pad your neck with a clothing item like a t-shirt,for example. On the other hand,a botched hanging can result in much worse scenarios more worth worrying about-how about spending the rest of your life in a veggie state? No offense intended, but if you don't really know the method nor what you are really doing (which happen to be the reason for your doubts) please-for your own good-forget about hanging yourself or,alternatively, study the method a lot better
