  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

so I opened SN for the first time like a month ago?

When I opened it after a while I got a headache then my fingers and my toes started feeling tingly (imagine the pins and Needles feeling)

Is that a good sign? (I got my SN from BO PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR THE SOURCE)

What you're describing is not typical, but not entirely unheard of either. SN isn't volatile in the traditional sense. It doesn't release gas, it doesn't fume. But when handled carelessly or stored improperly, it can linger in the air in fine particulate form. That dust, though nearly invisible, can irritate the lungs, deprive the blood of oxygen, and cause symptoms like the ones you mentioned.

Did you break the seal when you opened it? Because that matters. It matters a great deal. Once opened, especially in humid air or left unsealed for even a short time, SN begins to degrade. It clumps. It can absorb moisture. A compromised compound may not work when it matters most, or it may behave unpredictably. Did you touch it or anything like that?

No I didn't touch it. (It's still in its original container)
When I was done with it I tightened the lid, taped it and sealed it in a plastic bag (without letting the air run out of it (so if I was to squeeze the bag for example it would pop, thats how tight it is)

(I forgot to mention, I broke the seal)

So you didn't touch the compound directly. You resealed it tightly. You took care. But yes, you broke the seal. And that, unfortunately, changes everything.

Sn is chemically stable, yes, but only so long as its environment is controlled. Breaking the original seal invites the air in, and air is never neutral. It carries moisture. It carries time. It starts the process of degradation. Especially if the container wasn't purged or stored with desiccant afterward.
Sealing it in a bag afterward was smart. But if the air inside that bag was never pressed out, then the compound has been sitting for weeks in its own tiny weather system. That might be enough to begin clumping, or oxidizing, or pulling in water from the atmosphere. None of which guarantee failure but none of which guarantee safety either.

You don't need to panic. But you do need to doubt.
You have options. Replace it. Reseal it properly this time. Get a moisture absorber. Store it in a dark, dry place. Or wait until you're absolutely sure it's still viable and be ready to accept what it may no longer offer.

You are not stupid.

I'm not a chemist. I don't pretend to be. I've only read and studied and gathered what I can from the accounts of others who've walked this road. If you've broken the seal, there may still be ways to test the purityβ€”some have mentioned chemical tests or visual signs (clumping, yellowing, moisture). But even if that path exists, it doesn't change the larger truth: it's always safest not to open sn until you're ready to use it. That's the consensus. πŸ˜₯

The UK is especially vigilant lately. Ordering again doesn't guarantee a welfare check. Many still receive packages without issue, especially if ordered discreetly and with caution. But if the fear is too loud, then wait. This is not a failure. It's a delay.

Thank you so much :)
I think I'll wait for a bit to see
In the meantime just in case SS gets shut down in the UK I'm going to start screenshotting methods and stuff

Just opening the Sn doesn't have any effect on you.

Did you ingest it or touch a large amount of it with oyur hands?

If not - that's your imagination.

And gemini said that inhaling it can be dangerous (not to kill but its not good)

Any body contact with SN is dangerous even in very small amounts!

But again, if you handle it carefully and just opening it won't harm you.
