I don't know why it is but your responses to my recent questions showed up on others post so I had no idea that you'd replied.Yes, you could hold it in place until you pass out I suppose. The only complications the purge valve not functioning correctly would cause is that your hippocampus alarm may engage from buildup of CO2 from your breath. Like I said, it still will probably work fine, but it just defeats the purpose of going, Eebd route if the purge valve isn't working.

What does that mean if I may ask? Will that cause choking, seizures or pain?
I already have the hood. Should I forget using it and look for an exit bag, you think? Did you build one on your own?
Been down with the flu so I'll check the purge valve as soon as I'm well.
Edit: I just checked it anyway. The hood expanded and retracted with my breath. I suppose it means the valve doesn't work? Is there a fix? When I unscrew that part from the outside, there's this little piece and a spring..
