I actually prefer the exit bag gas method. I can do it at home in my own time and I pass out quickly.

Which do you think is better? If I were to buy the N from your contact I assume I would have to take it in mexico? Or could I mail it somewhere?

Also, I noticed in gas monkeys thread that you mentioned you have the EEBD hood set up. I lost mine in the escm#de raids, so I have to set up again. Are you using a Din477 flow regulator? Is it the escm#de regulator and hood or from another supplier?

p.s.. Are we allowed to say escm#de now that its sadly decommissioned? I got a warning once before.
N is the best one sorry to say because it has zero survival rate if taken high dosage, more than 300 people took N for assisted suicide in USA everyone died, no survivors

After N best one is nitrogen gas method

My source is a member, he is not a seller or dealer, he will come with you to the shop to help you buy N, he won't mail N

Yes I am going with eebd hood, waiting for it to arrive because it takes long time to deliver and it is expensive too, I asked my supplier to modify the adapters so I can easily connect eebd hood to the nitrogen regulator

Yes we are allowed to use escm
Unless you could steal a Nitrogen cylinder from your work to use it at home, that wouldn't make any difference.

Good decision, trying to CTB at work (or next to any person that could rescue you) is plain stupid.

I don't see why, Air and Nitrogen have almost the same weight, in fact that's the real purpose of the adapters, to be able to fill cylinders for one gas with a different gas. The actual real purpose of the air-to-nitrogen adapter is to fill Nitrogen cylinders with Air, but the opposite could also be done too as long as the operator of the filling machine respects the pressure limit of the adapter.
You are right but you know we people like to create unnecessary fear among people, maybe it can be a problem if done for a long term

So you are getting an eebd hood to connect to the adapter the same way K (escm) made it? His fitted perfectly. His regulators (at least the one I got) was whisper quiet as well.

And will you be using a din477 regulator? Thats what I need (along with an adapter). Also why is it taking so long?

Can you or someone else recommend a Din477 regulator and eebd supplier to be delivered to the eu (DM me I guess)

My source is a member, he is not a seller or dealer, he will come with you to the shop to help you buy N, he won't mail N

That scares me a bit tbh. Would I need to go through the back alleys of some remote town? Mexico can be quite dangerous.

Nevertheless Ill definately consider it. Its difficult for me to fly though. Would I have to take it in mexico?

No it is a vet pharmacy not a back alley and my source is a American living in Mexico lol as he already helped two people to buy N, they confirmed that

I don't know about K on how he did it, I saw his scba kit but I haven't saw his eebd hood kit and I saw his click style regulator too

The place where I live now, they say everything different compared to EU so it is hard for me to understand these din because here they say like 1/4, 1/6 something like that

My supplier is taking time because they don't sell eebd hood to individual seller but I somehow managed to make them deliver one kit for me and I gave them the adapter requirement I want which takes time

80.lb#s of nitrogen or 150# of h2s to the face. I'm allwed to be not cool

Are you building a scba setup?
Hey!

Hey!
I am trying to build a SCBA with nitrogen
I have bought the nitrogen cylinder and a SCBA KIT but I am pretty lost with everything.
I don't even know if I am buying the correct things.
I think the air to nitrogen adapter is gonna be my main problem.
I have bought this and a NITROGEN TANK.
I know I have bought a oxygen tank wich i don't need but it will be good for me to test how the whole team works.

Why did you buy scba kit without checking whether adapters available or not?

I will check and someone will help you

The air to nitrogen adapter specificates this:
HTD 300 bar thread adapter, compressed air, 5/8" external thread, nitrogen W24.32, 200 bar external thread.
Can someone confirm if this is the adapter I need?.
Thank you and sorry if I make a mistake when I post.
I'm new and I'm pretty lost

I have read in previous posts that these adapters could be found in Europe and I have perhaps mistakenly assumed that I could find adapters somewhere.
Thank you Vizzy

This is the tank that I have obtained, with a standard valve for the Spanish market. Thread 21.7mm x 1/14.
Maybe I'm looking for an unsuitable adapter for this tank.
I have not yet received any of the material but the truth is that I am doing all this as a result of absolute despair due to my personal circumstances which have worsened a lot

It would be interesting if somebody with access to the EXIT forums would ask Dr Philip Nitschke how he did this connection in his Hood video on the PPeH:
View attachment 112965
I ended up purchasing a hose barb fitting that would connect to a regulator hose that will connect to the flowmeter. I also bought with a pack of 1-inch rubber washers.

I stacked some of the rubber washers onto the barb section of the fitting I just bought, to the point where only the tip is exposed. In doing this, it provided the "seal" I needed for the breathing tube and connected fine with the regulator hose.

I tested how well it sealed by blowing an electric air duster into the breathing tube. No air could exit the sealed end.
If I was still feeling weary about how well it sealed, I have sealing putty to finish the job. All that's left to do some test runs.

There is a shop in Spain to sells the same equipment as the one in my setup, a pack with regulator+demand valve+mask for 945 €. Top-notch high-end quality.

Bad move, there is no air-to-nitrogen adapter for that connection (UNI 4409).
You have to buy an EU standard N₂ cylinder (DIN477 Nr.10) and a DIN300 G5/8" to W24.32 adapter (female in both sides):
9 Air to Nitrogen adapter

How much did that SCBA cost you?

What type of a barb adapter would I need for the oxygen tubing on this flowmeter/regulator for an exit bag/nitrogen set-up? Thank you.

To Use:

If I found all this on the internet, I'm sure you can, but maybe these will address a few of the questions I've encountered here.

Start by sitting upright in a chair. My understanding is that you should not be lying down, and that you want to be confident you won't fall over when you black out, as any final twitching with your head rumpling the bag against whatever you are lying on might displace the bag enough to allow the inert gas to escape.

I have heard fears of convulsions with this method, but I have also heard —more plausibly— that accounts of convulsions are more accurately associated with sedated-suffocation (a predecessor to this inert gas technique) rather than to inert gas asphyxiation. However, a few final twitches are possible as the electrical activity in the brain fades, and it would be tragic to have the attempt ruined by not taking the simple precaution of being sitting up and stable.

To feel confident that any post-mortem twitching will not knock the cylinder over and jerk the tube out of the exit bag, secure the cylinder to the leg of your chair. I use a piece of webbing; duct tape or a length of cord would work.

If you wear glasses, as I do, remove them. They will be a hindrance when you need to pull the gas-filled bag down over your face, and will allow space for air to remain in the bag.

To pre-fit the drawcord, pull the bag down over your head and face. Tighten the elastic drawcord around your neck so that it's snug, but not cinched tight. You should be able to fit your fingers under it.

Lift the bag up off your face so that the drawcord is now around your temples and just above your eyebrows, below your ears and around the back of your neck, like a shower cap. After adjusting the drawcord to your neck, it will feel tight around your head; this is good.

Scrunch ALL the air out of the bag. The more air you can remove, the faster the inert gas will take effect. If you ignore this step, your attempt will likely fail.

At this point the end of the hose should be inside the bag. I have long hair, so I secure the end of the hose at the back of my head with a hair elastic. Others have taped the end of the hose securely to the inside of the bag with more micropore tape.

If you have long hair, like I do, make sure it is bundled up inside the exit bag, not sticking out under the drawcord.

With the regulator closed, open the valve of the cylinder. There will be a sharp hiss as the regulator fills.

Open the regulator and adjust the flow of gas to 15Lpm. The gas flowing through the tube was surprisingly loud to me, and a bit distracting. Someone here kindly recommended earplugs, which I may do on my next attempt. Or I may listen to music; I doubt earbud wires will displace the drawcord.

The bag will gradually inflate above your head. It will take a minute or two to reach full inflation.

As the bag is inflating, take deep breaths, exhaling fully, to purge as much CO2 as possible from the depths of your lungs.

When the bag is inflated and you're ready, exhale as completely as possible and hold your lungs empty. Slide the bag down over your face and settle the elastic comfortably around your neck. Finally, inhale as deeply as possible; breathe slowly and deeply.
Extraordinary!, this seems like a simple method and now that I am 18 I can get the resources without so many problems, this June 13 I will be 19 years old and thanks to this it will be the best and most effective gift I have ever had, an eternal rest! Thank you very much to this site for being so useful!!

This confirms to me that the indicated method to do it is Helium. Thank you very much too, this information is very useful for me
That suggest inert gas method works, don't use helium now a days they mix oxygen with helium to stop suicide, you can use nitrogen
