Drowning

Hi everyone, I'm a lurker and newbie.

I keep coming back to drowning as my method. I know it's awful, but they all are aside from N and N2 which is too complicated for me to source and engineer. I'd love access to F but I'm not good at dark web stuff and seems sketchy to order online. I have SN but am afraid to use it because I'm afraid I'll wake up brain damaged and not dead. I know a lot of people say it's impossible but it's not. The whole thing with SN is that it's death by hypoxia and if you don't go all the way you can sustain brain damage.

I have access to handguns via a local rifle store and shooting range but I've heard handguns are not as reliable as a shotgun. You can only check out handguns at this place, not shotguns.

I live near the Atlantic Ocean and could just fill a backpack full of weights, swim out as far as I can until I can't swim anymore, and just wait to get too tired to keep swimming to let myself go.

There have been some suicidal drownings at a nearby river in the last few years, so I know it's possible even in a smaller body of water.

Once I'm far out as possible, even SI can't save me if I can't tread water.

Yes. But if I'm far enough out there, I'm out there and not going anywhere. I'll eventually drown. With SN or hanging you're still salvageable.

I plan to go with SN. Unless you call for help if you take enough you will die. I've seen a lot of failed SN cases lately, but none that show any lasting effects.

Drowning would be scary bro, that struggle in the water and the feeling of your lungs filling with water and exploding in your chest. I'd swap that for a fast heartbeat and headache to unconsciousness in bed listening to your favourite music any day.

There will be a few minutes of panic or struggle, but it's going to end in death. That's the beauty of the method for me: the results.

Water is the most accessible and plentiful method there is. And it's free.

No additional equipment required. No fasting. No need to access a litany of other medications. No complicated diagrams to decipher and duplicate. It's just... there. All the time.

You don't need an ID to buy it. You don't need a license to acquire it.

It's there. Patiently waiting.

I agree with much of has been said here. I'm very much inclined to leave this way. A possible alternative would be perhaps death by hypothermia. I don't know if people have explored that route much, but yeah, I'd much rather drown, freeze or even starve myself to death than have to rely on complicated recipes involving hard to source chemicals.

I admire those who choose to ctb by drowning. I so envy their courage. Sounds like a horrific and also difficult method to go through with, but the appeal of it is how accessible it is. It's certainly tragic how we live in this world that limits options of ways to die though, but I guess that no matter what it's always possible to find a way even if it's difficult. I hope that you find the freedom that you wish for.

I wonder if it would be easier to just surrender immediately? Like just take a big breath right after you go under?
From the stories I've seen, it seems like those who just let go and accept it, they've described it as peaceful.

My mom's boss' wife recently did this. It seems crazy to me, but she just walked right into the Atlantic Ocean at a super dangerous place called Peggy's Cove. Props to her, and props to you if you can do it. I could never even consider it.
