Theres a silver lining in that we have others experiences that provide comfort and guidance for how to effectively do it. If I didnt see all the guidebooks and successful threads over the past few years I would be extremely skeptical of it.

In the future hopefully methods improve to provide even more comfort and peace to whoever attempts it. The biggest concern is as it grows in popularity it will naturally garner more attention form legislators and regulation. We might be in the golden era for it in terms of availability and protocol.
