I was never given consent to be in this world therefore I'm not obligated to stay in it.
I don't see it in the slightest as 'deserving' to die. First, what would 'deserve' mean? Second, you presuppose that to die is a punishment of some kind (or maybe even a reward??).
It's obviously an individual thing, but in my case...
A. For various medical and other reasons I've decided it's logical to end this incarnation within 3-6 months all being well. It may even be part of my reincarnation outline. I'm sad about it, since I feel I had more to give, and perhaps should have received a bit more back, but I'm not afraid of death when it's a logical, rationale, inevitable action on my part. I'll be back again and actually look forward to the challenge again.
It might sound odd, but I LOVE this damn planet! What a school to come to!! I don't think there's anything like it in the universe. To me, it's a bit like being an actor. You're offered a range of parts/roles and you look at them all and wonder how it might all play out - the positives and negatives of the role. You don't necessarily choose the easiest role because where's the challenge in that for your skills development? You choose the role that you haven't experienced before, or one that will test your limits. So...then you press 'PLAY', and the ride begins again....
B. 'Deserving'. I worked SO hard (who hasn't, I know) to make a life, and overcame a number of significant obstacles, but recently, in really quite a short time, things dominoed badly. The only deserve I have is that I don't think I 'deserved' the sudden domino effect. But it seems my karma score knows better...So be it.
But 'deserving' to die, for me, is something I can't understand. I don't see death as a reward or punishment, so 'deserve' doesn't come into it. For me it's a rational, VERY well-thought out logical choice.
Actually, I would feel much more comfortable to say I deserve to LIVE, than to die, but karma and circumstances, time, and not a few other things, now are against me.

Ultimately yes. Although it is true that the world dealt me a shitty hand, it all depends on how you play it and I did not play it well. If I continued to bust my ass in therapy, lose weight, try to repair relationships and teach people how to treat me I could probably have a decent life.
Yes I had childhood sexual, emotional, and physical abuse. Yes I developed MDD, GAD, ADHD, BPD, PTSD, and disordered eating from it but so have many other people and even worse yet they bust their ass and work hard to live the best life they can.

The world gave me and I earned everything I've ever wanted but I was two stoned and fucked up to keep it. Not sure that I deserve to die but I definitley deserve to be this miserable and depressed and it's making death a very welcoming option.

I wouldn't say I "deserve" to die. There are plenty of people on this planet who have done terrible things and they probably do deserve it.
With that being said, I don't think this life owes me anything. If you play the game properly, there is a chance that life will treat you favorably. For me, it hasn't yet and I'm too tired to continue to play the game. I just want it to be done and over with.

I think I deserve whatever it is that I want.
If I want life, I deserve life. But i want to LIVE, i don't want to survive. I too love this planet and I pray to God that I can come back here and fulfil my purpose. I am too damaged now and my trauma has caused me to feel unsafe everywhere I go, even in my own body. I believe that I deserve to die peacefully if I choose to. I don't deserve to have to destroy my body in order to end the agony.

I'd rather say I didn't deserve to suffer. Yes, not a brilliant person, but I did nothing that much wrong to suffer here forever. Dying is just the only way I can choose.

Well we all die at some point whether we like it or not. Honestly I think deserve better than what has happened. Nobody should be raped or abused or lose everything because they were a victim.
I'm holding on by the fringes right now.
Human being cause so much harm the brutal torture of many animals for meat, exploitation of lower class workers etc. While I don't think I deserve anything if we were going to weigh the harm vs benefit any of us has caused harm outweighs benefit in so many multiples.
Yes, I believe that I'm where I am now through my own actions and decisions. Sure, others influenced me for good or bad, but it was still always my free will to do what I did in my life. That's not to say I don't 'blame' or resent some people who led me into bad decisions. I do. But then the other voice kicks in and reminds me I could have said yes or no - always ultimately my choices.

Anything is better than this. I also believe in science, and science points to it being likely that consciousness is caused by our brains, so once our brains don't function, it will be eternal oblivion. I also don't know why one God would the be correct God when there are thousands of religions and I don't think near death experiences are proof of an afterlife due to the people not being brain dead. Yes, their heart stopped, but their brain was still alive and might have gone nuts from the lack of oxygen.

The real answer is that science just doesn't know. And what science DOES know is a fraction of what is out there. Think about what this science you believe in could have told you 50, 100, 150 years ago. Then think about how much of that we'd find funny today in light of our scientific progress. So, when you talk about 'likely', I'd say it's more likely that science will discover, eventually and inevitably, that:
