Heaven and hell are manmade concepts. The truth is, none of us know what life really is, aside from even knowing what death is. There absolutely IS something after death, but it's not heaven, nor hell. It's a mystery; just as mysterious as life is.

First off, I don't believe in hell. I think it's just an idea that keeps us from doing bad things, and heaven is an idea of a reward if we keep going.

Second, I think you're in a really rough place right now. You have a lot of pain and fear. You're not connecting with your inner resources, you may not even know what they are, so I think you're reconnecting with alcohol because bad support can be better than none. If that's true, don't judge yourself, get through tonight, and tomorrow maybe you can start to see what support you do have available, externally and internally.

I had real problems my friends couldn't handle. My two best friends stopped speaking to me, one because she didn't believe me, the other because I didn't accept the solutions she suggested. They were incapable of seeing the severity and the reality of my situation. My shit was real. They perceived me as toxic, as crazy, as unwilling. Their perceptions were wrong.

When it comes to the afterlife, nobody truly knows anything. Heaven and Hell could be different dimensions that our "souls" depart to after we die. I would say you'd have a good shot at going to heaven. People who go to Hell don't think about it this much. They don't care. You do.

False. If there was just non-existence, and non-existence before our parents had sex, then how the fuck are we conscious right now? Our lives literally came from non-existence. The Earth never existed, the human species never existed. But then, somehow, they began to exist, and we all began to exist. From nothing.

It's ignorant to assume there is just "non-existence" after death, because if there really is just non-existence, then how was planet Earth, human beings, and our specific human lives created in the first place?

I'm thinking they might be referring more to perception of existence, animals have less perception of existence than we do and plants less, viruses even less etc. So I think there is a spectrum. But the perception is just that, and it can be turned off like a light switch

I agree with the levels of perception, as I think the more complex the brain, the more complex the perception. But ants and bees are so tiny for example and can accomplish some amazing things with their level of "perception."

And it not only can be turned off, it WILL be turned off. We all die. Maybe there is something after death, but we just can't "perceive" it.

I've gone down too many wormholes on youtube about other dimensions and infinite bubble-universes to think about this properly, it makes my brain go all paradoxical haha. Like the mind would have to be wiped for re-incarnation was "moving into a newly born baby" in this universe/time, but if we just became aware of another place....that's feasible

Who cares about "re"incarnation? "Incarnation" itself is the most incredible mystery to me ever. I do believe in the infinite bubble-universe theory somewhat. But if there really are "infinite" universes, that means there is a universe for every possible scenario imaginable. That is too good to be true. But life (especially human life) itself is too good to be true as well, so I have no idea.

We all die someday. So we all get to experience what happens. We all share death, just as we share life. Death is a part of us. Death is the next stage to life.

Don't worry about it. There's no such thing as life after death and anyone who says differently doesn't understand basic biology.
Your consciousness resides in your brain cells. When you die, your brain cells decay. When they're gone, your consciousness is gone too, permanently. This is why time of death is calculated not from heart beat (as they show it on TV) but from brain death - ie no electrical activity in the brain. The good news is that brain cells decay more quickly after death than other cells.
The bad news is you won't see your grandma again.
The good news is 1. You won't mind not seeing Grandma again because you won't have a consciousness to mind with. 2. You won't burn in hell because it doesn't exist.

Living and dying are the tricky parts. Once you're dead, there's quite literally nothing to worry about.

I agree with your right to have an opinion about how you think there is no life after death, but to disown anyone who thinks differently than you because they "don't understand basic biology" is just blind arrogance. Biology can't explain what happens after death from the PERCEPTION of the living being, and neither can living beings themselves. I agree that consciousness resides in the complicated brain and it is gone when your brain dies. But just because there is no consciousness after your death doesn't just mean you don't experience nothing.

If your consciousness is gone and you experience "nothing" like you say, then that means googolplexes and googolplexes of years will fly by in the blink of an eye, as you can't experience time. After the crazy amount of years go by, there has to be something that happens.

We human beings came from nothing initially, and if there is just "nothing" after death, then tell me: how are human beings existing here in the first place?
