Sometimes there's quite a bit of misogyny here. The kind that goes beyond the normal "frustrated lonely dude vents" posts (which are fine) and gets super toxic.

But for the most part people are cool.

You know, that's one thing I haven't noticed on here at all. (I'm male.) This site feels very gender-blind to me. I honestly don't even know if each poster on here is a man or a woman. (Side note: statistically, women are more likely to attempt, and men are more likely to succeed.) But unless someone describes themselves in a gender-specific way, their gender is basically indistinguishable.

To address your mysogyny concern, I have a hunch that it's the émigrés from Red Pill/MGTOW/Incel forums coming here, due to their frustration from lack of sex and loneliness. Even though this place is nothing like the echo chambers they left, their attitudes still come with them.
