Call me crazy or going through some psychosis, but in my "afterlife" I hope to go back a few years and undo all the mistakes and shameful things I regret doing (it'll also put my Real event OCD to rest forever) even if it means I'll eventually end up in the same place again aka this timeline, Atleast I'll be at ease knowing I didn't do my mistakes in the first place.

I totally get you, I feel the same way.

Some of us are going to ctb anyway and use mantras like this to help us with SI even if we don't have a reason to believe - maybe OP is one of them.

That would be the thing I would want more than anything. Not for selfish gain, but to stop other people getting hurt. Sadly it's just a dream.

I will ctb eventually, even if its not from my regrets/ Ocd, I still have my other mental illnesses that isn't making my life any bearable

I don't think God is a vindicative a hole who is out to torture you for eternity. The universe is infinite. Surely, there are better things to do than living the same painful stuff over and over.

Also wish I could go back in time and fix the mistakes I've made. Thinking about it is so painful . So much regret and shame and guilt.

I believe souls come back. Some people have older souls than others, that tells me they've been around longer. Perhaps searching, coming back to make things right, or just coming back for unfinished business whether good or evil. I'd like to believe that with every rebirth we would've learned from past mistakes and should be able to better prevent or handle them with the next crossroad we face, until we grow to find peace. This is me trying to deal with things I believe should never have happened, the wrong things. In my mind, the universe cannot allow the wrongness of life win in the end. Then other days, the hell which is life happening at the moment and the thought of having to redo it, are just too much to bear. If there is such a thing as coming back, I hope we are faced with a choice.
