I will ctb soon(within this week) i need someone to be on a video call while i do it. I dont want to be alone during my last minutes. If some one is up for it please let me know. Also they can attest to the effectiveness of this method and document it and publish it.

I was thinking something like this
Anyway if we are from different countries then it would hardly matter if its legal or not.

Extradiction so it does matter.

Plus your first post is asking someone to assist you in your suicide which is dodgy to me at least. I would not be advising anyone to be on call with you.

The link you shared, they were able to trust each other over time and took the risk.

I think nobody here wants to be involved in something like this without knowing a whole lot more. If they do, I'd be wary of them. Just like we're wary of a new member asking anyone to witness a suicide or asking for supply or sources.

Right now everyone is a potential journalist, angry parent, pro-life-at-all-costs or somebody trying to get someone here to do something incriminating or something that will make it easier for people to try to shut this down.

So let's all be on guard and maybe less trusting eh?

Yeah, as others said there's a lot of risks associated with accompanying & documenting someone's suicide, there needs to be a major element of trust and friendship built up over a considerable period of time. Unfortunately, with a new profile there's just too much risk and too much that could go wrong :( Wishing you the best of luck, though

Although it could be fun if a journalist was the one "fishing"trying to get someone to "watch the suicide" and the only person who took them up on it was also a journalist or a pro-lifer. 😂🤷‍♀️

If you're in the UK try the Samaritans. I believe they might be a thing in the US too.

A major thing with the Samaritans is self determination. As part of that they won't call anyone/report you. This includes if you take your life on the phone. It's not a video call but probably the closest you'll get.

As much as I hate helplines, I don't agree with this at all. I'm pretty sure the Samaritans runs on a volunteer basis, so you could have a barely 18 year old kid on the other end of the line who isn't even getting paid to be there. They're gonna be left with the trauma of not only being part of your suicide and hearing you die, but the guilt that they couldn't do anything to help aswell.

I was an 18yo when in the Samaritans. I have no regrets whatsoever. You fully understand it could/is likely to happen way before your training even begins. You understand you won't do anything except listen in and talk to the person.

People are going to end their lives regardless. This way people think about it for longer and may realise it's not what they truly want. If that doesn't happen at least they won't have to be alone for it. Aswell people taking their lives on the phone is on the lower end of the calls that the Samaritans get.
