Anyone else had experiences with Christians? God will heal you, God will fix you but he doesn't, I became a Christian and left the faith when I realised its all just a cult, I'm sure plenty people get something from it but not me, and they'll sit and belittle your problems when you explain how everything went so wrong in your life and they say "ah that's just the darkness focus on the light choose not to let it affect you" how when it's actual shit affecting your day to day life, activites, or your own mind, not able to think feel process just fucking mush, what then? Ignore it?

Salt.

They believe in their faith, think it will save and fix everyone, and everything. Well not yesterday, and not today, but maybe someday. Choose not to let it affect you….Ive a hot poker, 2 bags of salt, a sharp stick, and 45 minutes that says, that phrase is not realistic. A god is great, lift yourself up to the diety and any mishaps are a plan, no worries. Not the world I live in, religion isnt going to save everyone, it may some but not all.

Find comfort and answers where I can, sometimes at the bottom of a dram or an evening watching stars through pipe smoke. Cant get as high as Christians do, just the salt of the earth myself and you do what you can till you cant. Ive had more peace listening to trees rustle on a fall day, than any religion could offer. Some would say that peace is God, I would gather they will say anything is God except an answer which is a mystery.

So I keep with the trees, and a night sky and make the darkness darker with a pipe lighter and choose that a Christians belief not affect me, while I get busy working on my own problems. Maybe much ado about nothing, maybe a Mad Scottsman insanity, but prayers didnt save the romans hadrain's wall did.

I talk to God, but the sky is empty.

I quit going to church as a teenager because it was boring, and I'm autistic so the endless socializing felt really uncomfortable. Singing hymns also annoyed me, I don't know how people enjoy such slow and repetitive music. The Bible is a convoluted mess of junk, half of which sounds like complete nonsense. I decided I could figure out for myself how to be a good person, and if the Christian God existed he is omipresent so he could show me the way.

I still think there's a lot of good in the Bible, especially the teachings of Jesus. But I think of him more like a monk, he was very wise but I don't belive he was divine and I would never worship him. There's also good to be found in other religions, so I don't see any point in picking one to believe as "the truth".
