• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Seriously, if you spend even a second looking into how screwed the planet is it becomes clear that any attempt at improving your life is ultimately meaningless. I know that the climate is only going to get worse and everyone will suffer for it.

Honestly, if I just CTB right now I'll be doing my family a favor as they won't have to take care of me when society eventually collapses and can focus on the remaining family members that actually wanna survive.

It just seems ridiculous to me that we're expected to stay alive when humanity at large can't even bother to keep the planet alive

It wont happen at our lifetime tho.
If anything a collapse of capitalism might happen before that.
But even then , the older i get the more i realise the nothing rly happens trope are usually correct.
I mean think about it even during covid, nothing extreme happened. Capitalism didnt fall, even tho it felt like it was catalyst

I'm now of the opinion that it's a hoax

Climate will kill is all yet we're building massive data centers for AI. It doesn't add up.

indeed. we're not going to do anything about it, and are accelerating into collapse.

didn't al gore show us polar bears drowning by 2013 . . . while he flew around in private jets, wasting precious fuels and blowing toxins into the atmosphere just to tell you not to do the same thing - oh yes, he made mega bucks doing it too, which of course, you didn't either :)

I think about this all the time, so I'm glad you said it.

I think we're like frogs in a boiling pot, and even if people notice climate change slowly happening, they get used to it and feel helpless to change the situation. Ocean currents are changing as we speak and we're living through a mass extinction — definitely read about that if you want to be more depressed/feel sick lol.

I can't believe people aren't more upset about ongoing inaction regarding climate change, and trying to save the only planet we can thrive on, but then again I don't know what to do either, so I don't blame anyone for not doing more.

Sometimes I want my suicide to be a political demonstration (ie burning myself in front of a federal/state building). Might as well make the most of it, even though I wouldn't be around to see any potential change.

There isn't ever a "point" to life, but especially not in the coming era. I mean, what you wrote is the exact reason why i'm on this site.
IMO, the point is getting better for now is that it lets you try and enjoy the last years of planet earth being livable. I'm planning to the best of the time we have until shit hits the fan where we are, and then CTB to prevent further suffering,
Wish I could do what UA said. I'm too much of a coward though.
