I have been researching methods for a few months now and have nailed it down to two choices….

Inert gas through the scuba mask would be my first choice but its also quite complicated (and expensive ) and I fear setting it up wrong.

So my second choice is Carbon Monoxide poisoning……it would be ideal to do this in my car with monoxide canisters (I own a modern Range Rover so couldn't do it from fumes from the car itself)

I have found a place that sells carbon monoxide canisters here in the UK now at a decent price.

Im just wondering how much is going to be enough? If I opened three canisters in my sealed car would that be enough? Just pure CO filling the cabin.

I will be drunk at this point as well , and will take painkillers incase of any nasty headaches. Maybe even some antimeitics incase of nausea.

Ive got to do this soon……sooner the better. The loss of my business has left me in an awful financial state and I am nothing but a burden to my family.

Thanks for reading 😔

I feel for you man. Loss of business can be hard at any time. I don't want to question your determination, but will your departure truly lighten the load on your loved ones or add to it? And modern cars cabins are seldomly air tight, just the opposite. Exactly to prevent the kind of stuff you are trying to achieve.

If its finances pulling you down, then maybe filing for bankruptcy might be a way out? I know it sounds awful, but plenty of people do it each year and then try to rebuilt their life.

No sources rule! Just google for it.
No rule against PM-ing them.

There's a section on just this in the PPHe. I suggest you download it.

It will certainly hurt family , but they don't live in my mind everyday and understand the pain I am in.

Modern cars are not air tight but I feel you if you have enough CO in the cabin it would be enough. No method is 100% , just got to pray it works.

Bankruptcy would ruin my life even more, and my wife would leave as that would affect her as well. I couldnt handle the embarrassment when just 2 years ago people envied what I had achieved.

An optimal CO setup would have a CO detector to measure the optimal concentration, you need 10000ppm or higher to CTB fast.

No method is 100%
I disagree.

I disagree.
Thank you for the table, interesting.

When I said no method is 100% certain, I meant that small things can go wrong with any attempt , even a gunshot to the head can miss the correct area , from what I have read. Some people have survived jumping from serious heights, or even being hit by a train.

what method would you say is 100%? don't you think my method will work?

▪ SCBA with your body strapped to a deck chair.
▪ Proper Nembutal procotol (this isn't available tho).

If you manage to reach 10000+ ppm, yes.
I like the SCBA method, I just dont trust myself to set it up correctly.

I have ordered a CO monitor

I found this item at my local welding supply shop.
https://sanctioned-suicide.net/attachments/welding-hood-png.102976/

It seems too take most of the work out of the process.
The item is generally available on places like Amazon. Sometimes it comes in at kit that pretty much has everything (hoses, connectors, etc.) but the gas. Seems simple to operate: Connect the gas, put on the hood, turn on the gas, your done.

The official name of this if your searching for info is "Continuous Flow Supplied Air Respirator".

Interested in opinions of others

Perfectly viable if you manage to connect it to a N₂ flow regulator. You can even use the same flow rate as the air pump designed to work with the hood.

Sorry to bother you again but you are very well studied in the subject. I have SN but it is really my last choice. I really had my heart set on an inert gas method but the technicalities are beyond me. I saw this and I was wondering if this is what it looks like? It looks like all you would have to do is add a CO scrubber? The more I study the more I get confused Screenshot 20230204 181051 Gallery

I saw this on eBay
A mask like that can work (an Indian guy CTB'd with one similar in his car), but is not a good idea. You can have seal problems and without a reservoir bag it could be difficult to meet the demands of inhalation without using a very high flow. An homemade ExitBag would be better.

The best inert gas implementations are SCBA and EEBD Hood (or other type of Hoods), and after that the classic ExitBag.

Thank you so much I value your opinion greatly. I decided to go to work for a little while longer so that I and try to go out more painlessly. I am a barfy person and don't like the idea of SN even though I have it as a backup. I hope you don't mind I will tap your knowledge when I start buying parts. I live a half hour from a brewery store so that is covered. The man in the picture looks somewhat familiar so I thought it might be a good bet but you are so well studied I trust you more.
