Benzo's dose SN?

What's the typical 'recommended' dose of Benzo's (Diazepam) prior to SN? I've seen all sorts of protocols. Some would seemingly knock out a rhino where's others seem quite inconsequential.

The SN Bible thread recommends 40 x 30 mg of Benzos. That's a HUGE amount and in many respects difficult to obtain. Is the idea here to effectively comotause you to the experience fullstop?
Hence why I'm asking soliciting other opinions. Personally, I'm not sure the standard dose is advisable either. These are extreme circumstances and I dont think standard would work in the circumstances.

Well 40 x 30mg does sound excessive. I won't be able to source that many either, the most I can get is about 50 benzos. I was going to have another look at the pph to see what they say there.

It's 5 mg x 30 that I can find. I suppose if you have access to dodgy sources people can find more. As you say ypud think that would knock you out completely? Presumably the idea.

The ppl suggested 1 full gram of diazepam. This is 4 x boxes of 50x5mg tablets…..that a lot…and due to the pain I'm in, hard to save up when they ease my pain. So…I'm more likely to have 250mg of diazepam..which is a quarter less than they suggested. But as I understand it, they are just to ensure you are passed out during and after.

That too is a huge amount 250mg. Wouldn't 5mg x 30 (150 mg) ensure that anyway - a box? The vast amounts being quoted (1200mg) seem like overkill (pardon the pun).

I think it'd be great to see a post about someone who ctb with SN, and search for their dose of benzos - I'll do a quick research, maybe I find something. However, what I discovered is that there isn't a consensus related to the amount of benzos indicated for this method ¬¬

I can't really find much re that all. 1200mg certainly seems a vast amount bearing in mind 40mg is the maximum DAILY advised.

Ok, I haven't found. Saw someone who mentioned 20mg of Diazepam, but idk if it worked. So, it's basic a case of doing what you can with the resources you have, once benzos are important, but not essential for the SN method.

Second this, recent ppeh suggests 500 mg Diazepam, use benzo equivalence converter to match this amount. Just make sure if you're taking a megadose amount of benzo, do it a few mins before you take SN, otherwise you risk the chance of blacking out.

I also agree it's excessive, any amount benzo helps, if it's a smaller amount, take it earlier according to it's onset time, hope you find what you're looking for : )

It's a vast amount in the UK.

It's a vast amount in the UK. The most I can find is 140mg in theory .

I always recommend people try their dose beforehand. I have seen more than one person fail an attempt because they took too many sedatives and either got sick from them or fell asleep before they could perform their method. I would say start with a "recommended" dose of whatever you get and see how you feel. Make sure you can stay awake long enough to do your thing. Then adjust up/down if needed before you attempt.

Test ahead of time, figure out the dose for YOU when you're in the fasting state you'll be in for SN that gives you the right amount of sedation without knocking you out too quickly. Do this AT LEAST 2-3 weeks before you plan to ctb because tolerance to benzos can build rapidly. In fact, if you have time, this is another factor you should test - how many days it takes for your tolerance to diazepam to reset. Good luck, you're lucky to have diazepam.

I'll only have access to 4x 5/10mg (can't remember which one) as that's all the doctor will prescribe me due to me being an addict. I'm getting them prescribed tomorrow under the pretence I need them for travelling on a plane. I currently have no tolerance to them and will also be taking olanzapine (anti-psychotic/sedative) as my anti emetic so I'm hoping that will be enough to curb my extreme anxiety.

The most I can obtain is 140mg unfortunately. In the UK Benzo's are extremely difficult to obtain even online seemingly now. Doing several test-runs really is impractical in such circumstances unfortunately. It's another quandary. Notwithstanding that, the oft quoted 1200mg seems a colossal dose. Yes that would knock me out (very quickly I'd imagine) but I'd also be worried I'd choke death on my vomit as well.

I really doubt I can get a script for them. I've looked into online sources but haven't found anything (I'm not familiar with TDW, I'll explore it but don't know if it will work). That's why I wish N was available. Everything else has protocols and steps. Really, though, I wish I could CTB just by willing it. Sometimes I get really tired, and it would be great if I could choose to fall asleep and never wake up.

I will take around 20 mgs of Clonezapam, that is a lot, it will surely make me sleep after I drink SN. As Clonezapam needs some time to take effect, I will take 20 mgs roughly 45 minutes before the SN drink. I cannot even imagine taking 1200 mgs, it is not phisically possible in my honest opinion.

1200 would knock out an elephant seemingly. Even if you crush tablets it's a lot of powder to consume.
Notwithstanding that, I've just got an appointment with my GP. I never ask for anything so I'll see if they take me at face value.

Opinions anyon consider that the dr and associates responsible for the PPH know more than you and I. I do know someone that downed a half bottle of lorazepam in one go only to need fluids and bed rest for weeks.

20mg or diazepam would help my pain levels but I can still stay awake and watch a movie, chat, do my night routine. 20mg isn't much at all my opinion. And this is after not taking it for 5 weeks.

I too use Clonazepam. I know everyone is different, but I'm pretty certain if I took that much, I'd be passed out within 45min. Personally Im planning to take mine no more than 20 min before SN

Ok, that is very little indeed. Do you have experience with benzos prior? There's cross-tolerance between benzos and alcohol, and possibly benzos and weed, too.

1200mg of diazepam is a huge dose. I have some benzo tolerance and can take 5mg at a time to fall asleep for several consecutive nights. Alprazolam is another story - I build tolerance to that quickly.
