Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

the industry im in is tiny. everyone knows everyone and sometimes it leads to situations like this one:

i had a recruiter call for a job role i learned my friend became suicidal over. they are super talented and work really hard. so i wasn't surprised they landed this job quickly after graduating. i was really happy for them. they stayed at this company for less than a year before burning out. my understanding is that they had a lack of boundaries/had trouble saying no so they kept taking on tasks that eventually overwhelmed them. like it fucking sucks they got to that point but i also felt weirdly comforted that they had the same impulse crash-out of going to the train tracks and thinking of jumping and attempting to take a gazillion advils/claritin to OD.

lmao when stress is involved we really aren't that different after all.

you might be asking "okay this sounds awful. why are you interviewing for this opening then?" bc MONEY.
if i can hold out for a year 1/2 ill be able to wipe my grad loan debt in one go and have some leftover before CTB.

i have to get past the final rounds tho. wish me luck.

I can relate to becoming suicidal over jobs. Seems to happen with every single one I've ever had. Sucks your friend went through this but I hope the job works out better for you until you can get your debt taken care of. Good luck!
