There's no such thing as a clear cut separation between "rational" and "emotional" thinking, nor should it be desirable in decision-making. You should read up on neurobiology.

To be fair most people seemed to disagree with his and Final Escape's political opinions.
However I don't find this strange at all.
1.Reactionaries have pretty much taken over the internet aside from a few niches.
2.They also happen to include some demographics with disproportionate amounts of suicidal people (most of the alienated young male subcultures)
If anything I'm surprised I don't see more of these people, this is the exact kind of place they usually flock to. You know, overwhelmingly negative outlooks on life, easy to get empathy/pity etc.

I find it absolutely bizarre that you'd rigidly defend an economic system which has set the means required to attain a desired standard of living so far beyond your reach that it makes you want to ctb.

The only people who think socialism is good,are people who have not lived in true socialism.
Why dont you go to Romania,Hungary,Poland,Greece ,or some latin country and ask if they want more socialism or capitalism.
Living in the most socialistic country in Europe let me tell you sth,sir:SOCIALISM SUCKS!
Why do you think most people want to move out of these countries?

Its because they have seen what socialism means.
A bunch of good for nothings bureaucrats,and politicians that FAILED in having careers in free market,go into politics so they gain money and power.
A bunch of corrupt a-holes who think they know better than the market,corrupt everything,steal public money,indebt the future generations for ever,place all their money to foreign banks and push that country to default,so they can buy everything for cheap.They push away competition,they push away investors,they demand license for EVERYTHING,they put all of their relatives to public positions.They nationalise whole industries and let them on their own to be corrupted and uncompetitive.They are against meritocracy and progress.They are against science,innovation,competition because it threatens them.They hate people standing on their own.They tax to the death,giving you a small penance that you should consider charity.They want everyone on the public dole.
They make the country so bad,it resembles a soviet republic.
Thats socialism.Everytime.Everytime it ends with the country poorer overall,and more misery.Always.
But somehow its gonna be different this time!

And you wonder,why we dont play along with this silliness.
Sitting in the first world,having all the advantages that free markets gave you,you have the audacity to claim socialism is superior.
Come on.
I will never say that capitalism is faultless.But that the fact that the people of the world are moving TO the West,makes all my argument.

Maybe i would CTB or maybe not. (in reality i would probably still CTB,perhaps a bit later)
Of course finances play a role!

Then in poorer countries why dont people CTB more?

Also this economic system you despise,makes it far more easier to acquire wealth than if you live in a place without much economic freedom.

It's supposed to be a "pro-choice forum" and it distresses me that people keep throwing the word "gatekeeper" about in some sort of derogatory fashion. Lots of people just want to be here for advice, love and support while they find about about different methods etc. I don't think suicide is compulsory.
