I've never been religious so I've always thought of death as a nothingness, but whenever I take the time to think about this it ends with me having a panic attack; it's the main reason why I haven't ctb'd yet. This just results in being passively suicidal and making things worse for me. Are there any tips that would help me not panic as much when thinking about the concept of death?

You know when the sun shines down and you close your eyes and see that redness?

Redness of the light shining past your eyelids

Focus on that redness after you jump

I overcame my fear of death by listening to hundreds of Near Death Experiencers. Virtually every one of them said that they're no longer afraid of dying. Some of their fearlessness must have rubbed off on me because I no longer fear death either.

(When I say I lost my fear of death, I mean the general fear that people have when they think about death. I no longer have that. But I don't know if I can stay calm in the actual moment I die. My survival instinct could still make me panic. I guess I'll find out...)
