Knowing I'm trans, and the looming threat of Project 2025, it's made me feel this growing anger towards Christianity. I subtly feel myself slipping back to my old angry atheist days. I feel like most Christians are so easy to manipulate. They could be convinced to support the most heinous shit. You just have to tell them it's what God wants, and boom, they're sold, wrapped around your finger.

No critical thinking, no moral objections, so long as daddy God says it's okay. It's just about power and ego, I feel. Since God is said to be all power, then the religion only teaches to obey that power or else burn in hell forever. And their God wants me and practically everyone I know dead. That's why they all voted Trump.

And that's why this country is beyond saving.

i don't want to admit it, but I feel the same as you. i try not to blame the religion, because it isn't the problem, but oh my god it is so annoying when a majority of Christians see God as an ultimate justification. so many pastors unethically use their platform to praise Trump, and their followers mindlessly soak it in.

Yeah. Of course, not every Christian is like this. I've seen some good ones. But my god (heh), I fail to understand why they stand by a religion that has done so much evil. And that evil has been endorsed by such a huge majority. Perhaps I'll never understand.

I completely understand how you're feeling. I hate to say it, but I'm pissed at it too. Pissed at how many gullible idiots there are who fall for not only political campaigns geared towards it but use it to spread hate. I have plenty of kind and amazing Christian friends, I love em half to death and would die for them, but the people who use it to spread hateful ideology? FUCK no. And I'm sick of it being used as an excuse for hateful rhetoric and fear-mongering. It pisses me off

Yeah, religion pisses me off so much. I'll give it credit where its due and admit that it's sort of reasonable for people to have believed in religion back when it was invented as there was no information about the world and how life works back then but people believing in religion in the 21st century is so baffling to me! Religious people have no critical thinking at all and blindly support whatever they've been told to support. Then again, I guess most humans are like this and will always be like this unfortunately

Nietzsche called Christianity "the religion of slaves." "My generation feels pain, but again puts itself under the whip." He was one of the first notable haters of Judeo-Christianity with its idea of man as a slave of God, who has no right to dispose of his life, because it does not belong to him. It belongs to the slave owner - God, who has mercy and punishes at his own discretion. Man is simply a "living murdered" as they wittily said in Ancient Egypt, or a "talking tool," as slaves were characterized in the Greco-Roman world, that's it - a talking tool of God's Providence and nothing more, and therefore does not dare to encroach on himself, that is, on someone else's (!). However, I want to ask: why should I live this someone else's life, which does not belong to me?

I understand that you feel this way. But these people are misguided by their church leaders. These mega churches and stuff are all a big hoax. It's not real Christianity. These people don't follow the most important rule: Love thy neighbor. They don't understand that with "thy neighbor" every Person on this earth is meant, not just the people that they like. One of the most important pillars of Christianity is that we all sin and we shouldn't judge others for their missteps. The greatest tragedy of Christianity is it's misuse to grab power and do so many horrible things in god's name. I'm so sorry that you have to deal with this unjustified hate. Just know you are a precious human being!

I get your anger as someone who grew up in a literal doomsday cult, but the sad truth is most people are easy to manipulate. Sprinkle in some high strung emotions, a charismatic leader, vague promises of a better life, and voila you got people ready to literally die for you.

But I dunno, I just don't have the energy to care anymore. My parents think my soul is damned because I refuse to go back to their church and I can't trust any religion that says a pedo can repent and get into heaven by saying some magical words. While a good atheist will never get into God's special afterlife club because he refuses to bend the knee to some god.

All in all, I still think the snake in the garden was right which is why I'm now a Luciferian. We don't have to bow to anyone because we are like god. We are more powerful than we know and don't need our lives to be dictated by dogma.

I agree Christianity is NOT anymore what it once was or proclaimed to be. Back in 2022 I spoke to my mother who is a very religious christian who voted for Trump.

She tried her best to convince me that the very people who stormed the capitol and spout racism hatred and violence are not Trump supporters and are just far left actors. I laughed and asked her to rewatch those vids, she refused and continued to try to convince me that Trump is a God send to America and chosen by God.

After that day I have not spoken to my mother or reached out to her anymore. She and her step husband knocked on my door bout 7months ago and I did not answer I left the door shut. On mothers day I did send her a text wishing her a good mothers day and that I love her, but nothing more.

There is more to this that reaches further far back when I was a youth that I dont wish to talk about here. But I am done.....

Like I mentioned in my previous posts months ago I have my tank, just need to get a regulator but I am looking for the SN way. I have been searching all night for the correct link that will take me to where I need to purchase SN I've not found anything yet. Plenty of mentions and hints on this site but nothing yet. I've reached out for PM's but I guess i need more posts? to acquire the ability

Trump and his Cult want nothing more then to cleanse America and reshape it in their image, I highly highly doubt he will ever never leave the whitehouse once there.

The religion itself hasn't done evil. If you look at everything Jesus said, there is nothing evil in there at all. It people taking what is said and twisting it to their own ends is that is evil, like with the crusades and SPanish inquisition.

It took me a long time to get over my hatred of Christianity. I've always been annoyed at those 'Bible Thumpers' walking around asking if you're 'saved' and all that crap. But I found out from my sister that when my mom was young, in the South, she was.. taken advantage of.. by some of the young, pious, God-fearing young men in her Southern Baptist church. Something snapped. If I could have made a wish and sent every single Christian to the Hell they talk about I would have.

But it was years later before I figured it out. It has nothing to do with Christianity, Islam, Judiasm, or any other religion. There are good teachings in all of them. But you get people who want to control, enslave and take advantage of others and religion is a good way to do that. They justify their actions by quoting some passage out of some book, that may or may not be what was actually written because of the translators. The King James Bible? James was one of the worst tyrants in English history and no one thinks he may have put crap in there to make his life easier?

But that means people would have to read these books and actually think about what they're reading. Most don't. They want an instruction manual on how to live their lives and that's exactly what the church gives them. And tyrants use that to their advantage.

Unfortunately Christianity isn't just Jesus. It also involves the old testament God who calls men who offer up their daughters to be raped by a crowd in order to save some strangers, good. A God who is good with killing some boys by letting them get mauled to death by a bear because they made fun of a bald man's head. And a God who killed a guy for touching his special ark just because he cared enough to try to stop it from falling. Fuck that God.

I'm an atheist and I 100% agree. I would go as far as to say I wouldn't be surprised if he were proven to be the actual devil/Anti-Christ. If he was real, of course.

Not a great deal of critical thinking in the Western trans community, since a lot of these guys believe that a trans woman is a women, and a trans man is a man, even though MRI studies on the brains of trans people show that trans brain structures are actually midway between male brains and female brains. So the science suggests trans people are actually an in-between gender.

The Indian trans community are closer to the truth, as in India they believe trans people are a third in-between gender. In fact in India, you can legally state on your passport and official documents that you are third gender.

Christianity is what the majority of Christians live by, which is why the New Testament is called new and why Jesus is the major figure in Christianity, not King David or Moses.. And the boys were not actually mauled to death. ALso, all those things are taking out of context. What you read in the New Testament, is love your neighbours as yourself, if someone in need asks for something you have, give it to them, go out of your way to put others before yourself and don't hurt anyone. That is not quoted by many people who want to only quote things from the Old Testament! I wonder why that is? (The New Testament is full of it but people choose a few verses from the Old, out of context.)

doesn't science prove the bible wrong since it claim the earth was created in 7 days
From a scientific perspective, the evidence suggests that the Earth formed around 4.5 billion years ago through natural processes. The universe itself is estimated to be about 13.8 billion years old, according to observations in cosmology.

Louis Pasteur was one of the founders of modern may medicine and he was a bible believing Christian. The 7 days does not necessarily refer to 7 24 hour periods. If you look up Christian scientsts, (not the religion, individual scientists who are Christians) there are a lot and they see no conflict between their Christian beliefs and scientific ones.

There are a lot of religions on this planet. A few of them have problems. Selfishness and retribution have somehow wormed it's way into something that is supposed to be comforting.
I will be cruel and suggest those problematic people are simply not looking around, only up. There is a simplicity in their minds and lives that is not realistic. The "book" will not solve all our problems. It seems childish and people with those traits are easily led to wherever someone with a desire for power will lead them.
We just see the christians more because they have better media access.

I said most. I know scientists who worked at CERN who are devout Christians and, like Pasteur, they don't see a conflict with their beliefs and science at all.

But the OP wasn't referring to these people. Those who are full of hate yet scream salvation and righteousness were the topic of their post. Those people who seem to be louder and more powerful every day. The people who give true Christians a bad name.

It's always other's fault, it can't be the Bible allows for hostile interpretations... Even the principles are about fear with the whole salvation BS. The whole set of ideas it's very flawed.

You can't just say "but Jesus" to wave away all the fucked up stuff that happened in the Old Testament. Jesus wouldn't even be needed had God the Father not set humanity up for failure by putting the tree of knowledge in that garden of Eden to tempt them while knowing full well they would mess up. Not to mention his lie that they would die that day. And yes it was a lie because had he not freaked out at the thought of them finally being able to think for themselves and kicked them out the garden instead of letting them eat from the tree of life, they would not have ever died.

So yeah, it doesn't matter if Jesus was a good dude. He came to Earth as an ambassador for a tyrant who set up mankind for failure if the Biblical account of the world is to be believed.
