Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Whenever i come across an anti-suicide broadcast, they always talk about things like your loved ones will miss you. But honestly, thats not one of my concerns about ctb. Sure, i dont want to see my friends and family sad, but the fact that i wont be there and i wont be conscious to watch them cry over me makes me disregard the idea.
Am i actually selfish for this? Or are they selfish for not letting me achieve my goal and let me suffer because they think suicide is not an option? After all it is my choice to no longer be alive just like how i wasnt brought here voluntarily.

May I ask? Have you already told anyone that you're planning to die? If so, what were their responses?

That is one of the questions of the century for anyone who has/is whatever contemplated ctb.

no one ever has the option of saying, "hey do not have sex and make me!", nice option, maybe, but not happening ever. I know that until I was kicked out the day after i turned 18, I sure wished that I was NOT here.
now at the age of 70, I have had great, not so great and horrible times in the past 52 years.

In my point of view, each and every person has to look inward and decided for themselves that question of loved ones.

Now I do not have anyone, 100% honest for real, so I never ever have to think about that part. If I did, I would have to take time and think about it and also think about it, as far as future aspects if I was gone. It is never just about the here and now, it is also about years later. Case in point, my very best friend ever died in an accident in 1982 and 44 years alter I still think about him a lot, so it can take decades.

It takes a lot of soul searching and one should think about the future also. Close one's eyes and see with one's mind.

Walter

My thoughts on this subject have changed a bit and ya know, I think suicide can be selfish, but even if it is, so what? The people who want you to stay to keep them happy are being equally selfish, so I say screw them. Make the best decision for yourself because I hardly consider what other people will feel about my own suicide as relevant anymore. When I exit, of course it will be selfish for me to do it, but I don't care.

You're definitely not selfish for wanting to die. I I think its selfish to force someone to keep on living life when they so desperately want to go..

To me the selfish ones will always be those who force others to suffer in this terrible, torturous existence against their wishes, it's just so cruel to me how humans impose this existence in the first place causing all this dreadful suffering with no limit as to how much one can be tortured and do all they can to force others to suffer for as long as possible even know this existence there was never a need for is just waiting to die anyway. Forcing humans to be tortured in this horrific world where there is all this endless suffering is criminal to me, all that anti-suicide does is just cause way more harm and torture.

You're not being selfish, they don't know how much you are suffering
