An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
Gingerplum, there is something wrong with your post. There is a lot of empty space and I see one paragraph in the middle of all the empty space. Is anybody else seeing the same?
If you're cutting and pasting directly from a word editor, paste it first into Notepad (or the equivalent on a Mac). THEN, cut the notepad text and paste yinto your SS message. It kills colors, formatting, etc.
I was able to relate to her a lot with wanting to end life because of a progressive physical disorder. She was very kind. I hope she found peace and she's no longer scared or suffering. And what a beautiful tribute! You must have known her very well. You two must have been wonderful friends and I am sorry for your loss. Youre so right that she was a straight shooter. One time when I was talking with her I thought she was being a little rude and I told her. She said don't take it personally. Haha. She made me laugh. It's wonderful that you are educating people about he condition because it seems as if unless it's cancer, people don't want to know about it or they don't think it's that big of a deal. So I'm very happy you did that.
I have to tell you that you are a beautiful person. You know already how much you have helped me and put me at ease with my decision. But making this beautiful tribute just shows how wonderful you are and how much you care about other people even when they have passed on. I wish there were more people like you in this world. It would be a better place. Lots of love to you.

I did not have the opportunity to exchange messages with BJ but I read what she posted here since before registering in the forum.
She seemed very friendly and always willing to help others. It's strange what these things affect me, even though I didn't know her personally.
I guess we were joined by the same pain although of different origin.
Like so many others (including Blackjack), I lurked long before I joined. Reading her posts, feeling her sincerity, compassion, and spirit through her words, was a large part of what made me feel comfortable enough to join. I am so sorry life turned on her so cruelly, and wish her love, happiness, and peace now that she is free of her pain. RIP Blackjack.
Thank you, @gingerplum and @Stan for this touching and well-deserved tribute.
She lived such a full life that it makes it even sadder seeing her go. I sorry she was robbed of so much by ALS. She made the best decision considering her circumstances. I hope it was a peaceful journey.
Thanks for writing this thread @gingerplum, i didn't know her story. it really makes me feel bad for her, specially since many people here were such assholes to her to the point that she didn't get to write a goodbye thread just from the harassment.
ALS is such a tragic and scary disease, i have a terrible degenerative disease and i still can't imagine how bad it must feel to have ALS.
i really hope that she passed peacefuly and her family manages to recover from her loss.
I often think about blackjack this past week
Originally, blackjack and I had similar deadlines. But now my plan was somewhat forced to be changed. Sometimes I feel like I should be dead also
