• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Also has anyone else noticed their nose hairs growing long enough to be visible outside the nose since turning 30? I wonder if nose hairs just take 30 years to grow…

I tried pulling them out and while they're gone it left me with severely bloody noses and probably a permanently worse sense of smell. 😅

Hey there golden, and not so golden, oldies. I'm 37 chronologically, 13 emotionally, and more like 73 physically. Would anyone like to share a family packet of Werther's, and discussions about the youngsters these days and how all modern music sounds the same?
Hey hey hey! You youngster -- I'm in. Is Peppermint Starlights okay?? 🤷🏻

I not only have a lot of hair in my nose, BUT all the hair growing in my ears after I turned 50. Talk about pulling hair out, ear hair is like a darn forest that never ever stops growing and/or regenerating,

My favorite is going to a store or a coffee shop and being served by the young folks. Why do they all look and act so dead? XD I can't wait to ctb because the time is coming when these 90s looking zombies are gonna be our doctors and lawyers and it's not the world I want to be living in XD.

That's funny because I pick my doctors based on 1. Are they handsome?? and 2. Are they younger than me so they won't retire before I kick the bucket over. 🤷🏻

I've been told all my life that I am too young to be depressed. Like, is there a certain age you're officially allowed to get depressed?

On m'a dit toute ma vie que j'étais trop jeune pour être déprimée. Est-ce qu'il y a un âge précis où l'on a officiellement le droit d'être déprimé ?
No indeed

Fine by me! Things were better in our day, don't you agree? These young'ins, with their Toki Dokis Tiki Bari or whatever the hell apps they're addicted to, doing silly dances with their non-creaky joints, don't know they're born.

Btw, is 40 the threshold for the Werther's, then? Damnit, I don't want to live another 3 years. Is there a way to expedite the Werther's? WAIT!! I've got it! I used to live in Canada—they use the metric system there, so in metric years I might be 40! Does that work?

All my boys started going bald in their 20s. That male pattern baldness gene in our family runs STRONG I guess. They all just shave their heads. 🤷🏻

I have an older brother who at around 18, lost 99% of his hair in like 6 months or so. I am 3 years younger, and I have a full head of hair.

I 100% agree with you as DNA (family) is so much of what can be. My grandfather on my mom's side was completely bald and my grandfather on my dad's side not only had a full head of hair all his life but hardly got any gray hair ever.

I will say this aspect, if your boys turn out anything like you, this world will be in a better shape. You are always so thoughtfully kind and caring that having you as family on here makes my world smile and have sunshine 24/7.

Thank you for being you and there in again, hopefully the DNA carried through to your boys.

My sort of thread although it doesn't look to be too active…. Shame.

It makes me realize the time is now for me. I was hoping it would change for me in my 30's, and it was looking like it would, but all the trauma in my life before this wasn't dealt with and it ruined everything I had. You can't get back wasted potential and opportunity, that's what really hurts the most.

Well, depression was born with me but it does feel more exhausting with age.

I vote yes lol
I am 44 and I think it would be great if this thread were more active too. I know we all have different problems, but the age thing really makes me feel like even more of an outcast here. Sometimes I wonder if I should even be on this site

I have many conflicts with this very same thought, not calling people childish, but the feeling I might be providing guidance to a minor freaks me out.

I don't post much, but I feel similarly. I have no desire to influence young people whatsoever in any way, so I intentionally avoid threads that are clearly written by someone in their late teens or early twenties, which is many of them. In fact, I wasn't even sure about creating an account on this website initially due to it, among a few other reasons.

Yeah, breaks my heart to see so many of them.

For those I try to show compassion, and share the little fragments of wisdom that helped me cope without being dismissive.

Mostly because one of the reasons I'm here is that I didn't had the support or a safe space to unleash the dark thoughts and anger, which had it's compounded effect through the years.

Yeah, I think that's a great way to respond to them. For me, I know if I knew of a place like this when I was in my teens, I'd very likely have ended my life then and missed out on such beautiful experiences. Living in this world can be truly dreadful for so many, young and old. But for most people, not all but for a great many people, you can never know what's around the corner in life if you just keep going a little further. Everything can change in a moment for better or worse. It has happened to me numerous times.

Mostly because one of the reasons I'm here is that I didn't had the support or a safe space to unleash the dark thoughts and anger, which had it's compounded effect through the years.
Sorry for whatever you've experienced that led you to such a state. I've read so many stories on here, people from all walks of life, and it's truly horrible what some people have to go through. I hope you've been able to find some comfort here, though, or at all. I know what compounding is all about.

At long last, somewhere to discuss how my menopause is contributing to my suicidal ideation 😉
I think it is having a massive effect on my desire to cbt. I've started her which helped initially but not enough
