• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Trapped in this Suffering

I grew up being Catholic but now becoming more atheist as time goes on as I wish God to not exist and after death be non existence.

At first I believed God was good but was suspicious about a few things like a lot of people still suffering and not really feel like I was helped or listened by him when I struggled with school and did prayer.

As my life has gotten worse, I started despise him for selfishly creating this world that has some people suffer greatly who didn't agree to this to begin with. I felt like what Christianity says about him is a lie cus if he was all loving then he would do something to not have this suffering start to begin with.

While I do think I am a terrible person, I didn't think what I suffer through is cus of something spiritual as purely innocent and good people also suffer greatly from this existence and that I didn't do anything wrong before my suffering increased as I was just a child. I started a become agnostic.

I imagined to more not believe in religion anymore now and am atheist thanks to other atheists here saying things that reassured me into thinking a God or after life doesn't exist.

how does your religion cope with the concept of 'taking ones own life'?

non existent because there is no god just a bunch of fools that believe in some kind of creator to explain how something can come into existence from nothing

I don't really think that believing in a creator makes someone a fool, it's assuming that everything the creator does is good or has a good reason behind it that makes someone a fool.

Me personally, I'm expecting to meet the tyrant in this Earthly North Korea we live in after I check out. I'm likely going to be squished like a bug because I hate this creator and it's horrible designs, but what can I really do about it? I just have to be brave enough to rip off my cope bandaids and face the big Mafia boss in the sky. Maybe this would be easier if I was still an atheist like in the good old days.

I always thought I was a divine mistake. I often joke around with close friends that God tried to kill me three times since I faced potentially life-threatening situations as a baby. Of course, since I'm still here, I got better, but these days, I think that the suffering I'm currently experience is punishment for not dying when I was supposed to. Usually, I feel like I've outlived my purpose; His grand plan is calling for me to CTB, and every day I stay alive is spitting in the face of His plan. Oddly enough, I don't hate Him for this. I think He's just trying to do His job at the end of the day, yet I'm being such a nuisance as I typically am.

I don't know how to describe that sort of relationship in one sentence, apologies.
Maybe God saved you three times back then, try thinking that way

Is there anyone religious here that think that they must have done something pretty bad or hurt someone deeply that you're just getting punish by God from it ?

I'm muslim I can't stop thinking that I was probably so unfair to someone that they cursed me and God agreed with them. I feel like I must have been a very bad person, I don't even remember one nice thing I did... I feel like even 100yrs of suffering wouldn't make it even and CTBing would be so unfair to the one I've hurt...

I very much believe in God, but I don't think everything that happens is part of some grand plan. Sometimes life just sucks, and people make bad choices—that's not God's doing, it's just the reality of the world we live in.

My form of spirituality is basically God of spinoza, one who reveals themselves in nature.
I'm sorry if this comes off as condescending, i'm just curious, but why do you believe that? Ie what is your evidence?

Spinozism Is actually a pretty fascinating theory. If god does exist, I could see this being a more believable philosophy than Christianity.

Einstein is my evidence, kidding, I don't think phydical evidence is necessary or even possible to prove a deity or whatever, it's more how nature reveals itself to us conscious entities. The fact we can even comprehend it is, baffling
