Would you talk with someone from the media or on a different platform about your Sanctioned Suicide experience?

I think when journalists talk to (former) member on here they cherry pick the ones that demonize the forum and only talk bad about it.
I wonder whether one day German media will report about this forum. Thus far they haven't. I think I wouldn't want to give them an interview. I think most likely would they misrepresent my point of view and only take quotes that could be interpreted in a bad light. Moreover, I think they would want to know my real identity and well I don't trust journalists. In case I did that I would want to have a right to see the final version of article before it gets published. Though, I doubt they would grant the right to stop the publication...

I think I read posts that members on their personal website or Substack talked uncensored about being on Sanctioned Suicide. I think most of them fear the stigmatization and they have to defend themselves for being on here. I think I also wouldn't want to do that.

Suicide is legal in Germany, so if you are a good speaker and only give an interview under the condition of screening before publication, why not? [with the exception of perhaps publicity on the forum - that may end rather badly]

If I felt like a journalist was actually sincerely interested in suicidal people's perspectives and were willing to look at the forum in an unbiased, serious way- it would be more tempting. Although, I feel like there would be far more articulate and clever members to talk to than me.

That said- likely- still no. I don't think it particularly benefits the forum to get attention. Good or bad. If the forum receives good press, I imagine all the pro- lifers would be jumping up and down that we are in fact a cult that is trying to entice more people in.

I think this place is better to be found organically- by people already seriously considering suicide. Not by those who are maybe unhappy and looking for company or those morbidly curious who happen to come across an article or YouTube video.

Also- it obviously raises the chances of being identified.
