would you rather die and have the news, funeral, and all the attention that comes with it, or just vanish like you never existed?

one of the reasons I haven't CTBed is because, even if i'll be dead, I don't want people thinking about me, attending my funeral, finding my body, or dealing with anything related to it... i'd just want to vanish completely, without anybody noticing...

I just want to disappear. When you die, everybody speaks about it and I hate it. Police and doctors will look at your corpse, take photos, do an autopsy.
Sometimes I just wish I could die where nobody can find my corpse.

Vanishing sounds incredible. I wouldn't have to hurt any of my friends if it was like I never existed to begin with. All my thoughts and feelings would vanish with me too

i've thought about this a bit, about the catharsis of just being allowed to stop existing. if we were talking about vanishing as in just disappearing one day then no. i'd much rather give my loved ones closure rather then them being left with uncertainty over my fate. But of course if i could just magically vanish along with any memories of me or my existence, then that's an easy choice.

Funeral? What funeral? My note says no funeral, no burial, no obituary. But I do hate thinking about who may find out. I have already disappeared though, for the most part already.

All I want is to disappear from this torturous, dreadful existence, I just want this existence I just always saw as the most cruel, dreadful and terrible mistake to be all gone, forgotten and erased with no more torture and no more suffering.

I just want it to be like I never suffered and more than anything I wish I never suffered, to suffer in this existence truly is an abomination to me and no matter what I'd just never wish for the torture of existing. I'll just always find it torture to exist, for me non-existence is just all that's positive, all that existence ever does is just torture existing beings with no limit as to how much agony one can feel, this existence should just never had been imposed and it's so dreadful how it was, all I want is to be gone.

I preferably would never exist but I also don't care about what others would do after my death, I guess it's just some part of my self hatred or something else that I managed to forget and lock away

With disappearence those left behind can have the faintest hope that you are still alive and return from wherever you were hiding. With confirmed death there is definite closure.

Also in my country news sometimes have info about disappeared persons in hope of clues. And I would rather stay away from news.

Of course the situation would be different if you would be able to wipe away other people's memories about you like you never existed.
