Would i be dramatic to ctb on new years?

I got a change of plans. Im so done and ill probably off myself soon. It'll probably end up on new years eve, but would that be too dramatic? It won't really matter after but yk. Tbh idk if ill even make it that far.

Whatever time a person feels like is right for them. I don't think doing it on any particular date is dramatic.

My first attempt was on Christmas Eve some years ago.

I think no matter how or when you choose to go, people will always view CTB as dramatic. I mean, it is a pretty serious choice to make since once you make it there's no coming back (though that's true for a lot of things). I would just say make sure you're careful, and minimize the effect it will have on other people, as well as making absolutely certain this is the choice you want to make. There are a lot of downsides to a failed attempt, as I'm sure you'll be able to gather from other posts here, and you don't want hastiness to CTB to increase your suffering at the end of the day rather than be a relief for you.

I thought about it. But in terms whether people would be pissed, lol. I wouldn't do it during holidays intentionally, but if I can't go on anymore then idgaf.

It could be even worse if you did it on your acquaintance's/friend's birthday unintentionally

Yes it would be dramatic but that shouldn't matter. Choose the time to ctb that makes sense and is most meaningful to you. It's your life/death not anyone else's.

Most people here are about right yeah. It's your choice when and how you do it. CTB will always be a dramatic way to go no matter how quiet you make your passing, it's just how things are. Do what feels right to you and go with your gut. Wishing you well and a peaceful goodbye.

Choosing a meaningful date to ctb can help oneself get motivated to do the deed. Personally I chose a ctb month with the same name that my dog has. I think it's cool that his name could serve like a prophecy. Either way, ultimately the specific date doesn't really matter and there were people that even killed themselves on the birthday of their spouses so commiting suicide on new years is not too dramatic imo.

People will deem suicide dramatic no matter what. Do whatever you want.

Not dramatic at all. I would want to do it that day too. The day of leaving is a personal choice. You dont owe nothing to nobody.

It depends what effect you want your suicide to have, If it's a jump into nothingness, then I wouldn't bother. It might be especially difficult to CTB on that date, but it might not. If you want your death to have a dramatic effect, to have a posthumous reverberation, an impossible dialogue, then it's a perfect date for that.
