No i didn't say changing anchor point knot to noose knot I would recommend buntline hitch for anchor point depending on what anchor point you got. and for the noose it's better to have double overhand stopper on the free end tied directly after the main knot. I'm tying the double overhand stopper first tightening it as much as I can and then make the noose knot pushing the free end back as much as i can until the stopper hits the main knot and the tighten it

My anchor point is a sideways air vent and I saw people recommend against them when they point down but it's pointed sideways and holds my weight with my attempts, the only other point I have if this one doesn't work is inside and lower so feet hit the floor and partial or outside where people can see on my balcony so I am just hoping that my anchor itself is good as I have tried several attempts and it holds my weight

I stopped on buntline hitch for anchor point because it just jams into the anchor leaving no space between the knot and anchor point and it doesn't move side to side when i shake the rope it just stays in its position like its extension of the anchor point. Also because it leaves no space between the knot and anchor point you end up as high as possible when you hang

I just saw bowline knot being prone to shake loosening and also i want to be as high as possible when i hang and to stay on the center of the pull up bar even if my body convulses

I hate the aspects we can't know, how long after passing out we're gone for good, if we convulse and if yes how much and how long to pass out. I keep seeing people say it's almost immediate to pass out, or 10-15 seconds but I just want to be out quick and gone for sure. If I'm out cold I don't care about convulsing as long as the rope holds of course, I assume even if I'm out for long enough and the rope breaks but I'm gone I won't care either. I just want my anchor to hold and to pass out quick.

We convulse only after passing out. if the rope breaks too late but earlier that your death you can become disabled. But that's only if the knots slip if you test the rope holding your weight it will not snap

Yeah that worries me, I am hoping everything with my anchor point will be fine as the only other option I have is outside and there is a bigger chance of someone walking by and noticing

you should test holding on the rope with your full body weight and thrashing simulating convulsions to see. I also hope everything goes fine

I tried pulling down as hard as I could simulating it and my knot seems secure, I heard a bit of creaking but it seems fine?

ah in this case bowline should be fine i think. If nothing changed it's form while you were doing it that should be fine

Yeah I'm not 100% sure but I didn't see any changes, I think if it was going to stretch or loosen it did when I tried hanging yesterday and I think it hit it's limit. I just keep trying to tell myself "it's just 15 seconds it's just 15 seconds" but the choking yesterday scared me and everyone says it's guaranteed to pass out but I haven't felt it even once so I'm scared I will be the unlucky few it won't happen for but I also saw people say that even practicing full is unsafe because the practice has become the final success for others so idk, tired of the neck pain just want it to be one and done

If you do it right you definitely shouldn't choke so hopefully we will figure this out and you will be able to make it work

Thank you for trying to help and all of the responses! you're so kind. I saw one video where a couple gets off a chair together and the man is out immediately or almost immediately within a second or two and it takes her like 10 but I'm hoping mine will be like another video I saw where she is holding the rope, and then passes out fairly quick and her arms fall to her side letting go of the rope since the only way I can get off the chair is holding the rope the same way as her

So I made the noose knot with double overhand stopper here is how it should look:

just rotate the free end in the loop to make the main rope stand straight.
First make the stopper, tighten it as much as you can so that it becomes ball-shaped, grab the stopper and pull one end, then the other. Then make the noose knot and pull the free end in so that stopper hits the main knot then grab the knot and pull hard from left hand side of the loop like in the picture

Yeah now it looks right, also you should put the main rope behind the stopper. it should be in the middle of knot and stopper like in my picture. But it's still fine, now I will try to practice pulling down with rod and tell what happens

I tried redoing my anchor knot into the buntline knot and I have no clue what happened but it's not seeming to work for me, maybe due to anchor not being a round pole? Also not too sure what you mean by putting the main rope in the middle of the knot and stopper, I thought it was already there?

I used the wrong word my bad, at first I used a bowline knot from this video
Since I redid my noose I tried doing a buntline knot like you and you can see how badly it turned out and I tried three times I'm not sure what's going wrong but I may try to redo the bowline knot

I think bowline knot should be fine for your anchor point so don't worry. You can make double overhand stopper for the bowline knot as well in the same order like noose knot

Do you really think it's necessary to add the stopper to the bowline? And if yes which side of the bowline? Where the noose is or the free side? Also kind of thinking is using a numbing crème on my neck beforehand so maybe I won't feel it as much when the rope tightens? I'd wipe it off before the actual hang, unsure if it would help the hang or make it worse, hoping it my neck is numb I might not cough or feel uncomfortable and push through easier. Any thoughts?

Well if that's possible that would be good for security. It should be on the free side of the bowline. I don't know about the creme never though about that. I personally will not use anything just raw do it as i said earlier.

I'll add it on the free side, do you think it could ruin the attempt? I couldn't find anything online about it at all. I know people say not to do padding just a thin pillowcase to not rope burn but idk if it would make it worse but I thought it might help

I don't think that would make it worse depends and what are your priorities. Maybe too thick padding will just make another layer that the rope will need to penetrate which will make passing out even longer

I don't know if it can ruin the attempt, maybe do a post and ask about that? Well they don't know about my plan and about anything that I'm gonna do.
