How did you get to passing out so quickly? Every time I try I don't get close. Knot in the back, high up the neck, idk what I'm doing wrong
Well probably you didn't pull it hard enough. I also had that problem after that attempt. I tried and it didn't work, I didn't understand what I am doing wrong. But then I pulled with all the strength and I got the same effect pretty quickly, even more I felt like my hands are starting to tingle. Try to pass the rope through anchor point, make a self-constricting knot on the other side, put some rod-like object inside the knot and pull with all the strength. Also I couldn't do it with non-constricting noose. But doing it with self-constricting noose is dangerous I'm not doing it anymore, also you can damage your neck structures like lymphatic nodes with such experiments.

It's so fucking crazy that after psych ward I told my father that i want to "do sports" and want to buy a pull-up bar and he AGREED and said that it's very good that I want to train. And now I said that i need sandbags because the pull-up bar tilts and he agreed AGAIN. I still can't imagine how he doesn't even suspect a thing.

I tried pulling as hard as I could, maybe I'm weak. I was trying with a thin rope and tried hanging and just felt pain, just got thicker rope delivered and it hurts a lot less but no passing out feeling, just a bit of pain from failed attempt earlier, hoping it if I just go for fsh I'll pass out like you, so scared of trying and then chocking for awhile without passing out. I used an arbor knot and plan on doing it again since it's what's recommended, what knot are you using it not self constricting?

did you pull up with you hands or used anchor point to pull down? pulling down is easier than up. Also maybe try pre-tightening the noose around neck as much as you can. I tried testing passing out using bowline knot on my neck but I couldn't feel anything i was just feeling the rope making pressure on my neck and that's it. Now I'm using noose knot with double overhand stopper at the free end, and I also changed anchor point knot into a self-constricting knot (buntline hitch knot) because it just jams into the anchor point as you put your weight on it and after that it doesn't loosen or move side to side when i shake the rope.

When I got my 10 mm and 12 mm rope I tried pulling up to see which I should use, I tried pulling down with my old thin rope and it was just pain no passing out and I tried several times. I was using anchor and bowline because that's what I saw posted here with videos on how to tie them. I plan to try again today and hope to succeed, thinking 10 mm would work better than 12 but both hurt due to my last attempt being recent, I struggle with the si of stepping off the chair fully and worry about not passing out, I saw the videos of others who succeeded but I also saw some where they struggled gasping for air which terrifies me. I hope to pass out quickly like you, I had the rope pre tightened and up high where my pulse should be but I hold a lot of stress and tension in my neck and shoulders so maybe that's why I'm not passing out due to tight neck muscle? I'm so annoyed idk how to fix it. I thought of using NyQuil to sleep easier but someone posted them threw up due to it while hanging

Try to pull down using your new rope and see if it works. Don't rush things properly test everything to be sure your setup is working great

I tested it, every knot seems secure and it feels more comfortable than the thin rope I had before, way less choking feeling but still no tingling or passing out feeling, maybe I'm not pushing enough downwards or I can't find the sweet spot, idk, I just hope when I attempt again I will have enough guys to fully step off and that my full weight will make me pass out I don't want to suffer chocking. I tried putting my weight on it when trying and it tightened, but no tingling sadly :/

I also would want to know what is the problem with some people not being able to feel any effect of noose tightening on the neck

Yeah idk, it closed and was in the spot where I feel my pulse, maybe it wasn't enough force? It was enough to struggle breathing and start chocking though. Also it was enough to hurt a bit, I just wish I knew how to fix it since it seems to be the quickest, easiest and most reliable way to go out. I watched so many videos on this page of people doing it and most seem to go quick besides a few and I'm worried to be one of those. I stood up a bit ago and almost passed out but doesn't seem to happen with the rope just when standing and moving too fast :/ thinking of adding a thin scarf for padding and plastic bag so rope can move easy to try and stop pain since I seem to be struggling with passing out

Maybe you should do something with the force yeah. For me if i apply enough force i dont even feel discomfort i just feel my head being very light and vision blacking out and hands tingling. I hope it will be the same for you. just enough force

Do you have any si or fear when you go to step down? I can get one foot off the chair and the other refuses to budge. I thought of alcohol to help but others say it made them make a mistake and fail

I dont think I have. There is nothing to fear from if you do everything right. Besides death itself which is another topic. I personally dont fear death

I don't fear death besides having to live again I fear something going wrong, it not being quick and painless but ending up as one of the videos where they struggle and try to get back on the ladder, etc. I'm scared of it going wrong and pain above all else. Do you plan on using anything to help with si or just raw dog it? I prepared by watching videos and reading up on it but I know preparing doesn't always lead to things working out. I also don't understand how hanging is said to take 30 min-1 hour but Ashlee Janae was strangled and died in less than that time

as i said there was no discomfort for me no pain no fear like i just sleep. I will just do it raw - me, rope, anchor thats it. I like keeping things as basic as possible cause depending on how much you complicate things there are more things to fail you know

Do you jump down or just step down to get that feeling of sleep?

I wrote that in the post. 64kg
like a 15 lb difference, I wonder why I am struggling to sleep like you, do you look straight or down? I saw people saying you look down

Okay, thanks for answering I'm just trying to figure out how you passed out so maybe I can copy, sorry if it's a lot
No everything is fine I understand your worries. I just put my neck inside the noose tightening it as much as i can while the knot was at the center of the back. I actually looked down while pre tightening the knot so that knot is almost on the back of my neck. Then i slowly started stepping down while looking straight and i quickly felt my vision going dark after which i stepped back on the chair because that was just for testing I still need the sandbags to become dry (they were selling them wet for some reason) and place them on 'feet' of the pull up bar so that it doesnt tilt. After that if it really stops tilting and sits in place like its part of the ground I will do it without any fears I will just step off the chair and stop my existence forever

I want to practice again but my neck already hurts from my attempt a few days ago so now I'm just hoping when I do it I'll get the same sleep feeling as you, I may take an ibuprofen to try and help with the fear of pain a few hours before but touching my neck hurts so I'm scared if I practice more I won't be able to do it for a few more days due to neck pain

Yeah my neck also started hurting after some days of practicing. I suggest you rest for some amount of days because you can actually damage soft tissues of your neck like lymph nodes and its not funny at all as i said

Yeah I saw that but I'm hoping my next attempt will be the final one and be successful so I'm not too worried about the lymph nodes I just worry about passing out. Since I was struggling to get that sleep feeling I was thinking of doing partial but the videos I saw they twitch for longer which makes it seem like they are conscious for longer and that would be worse. I had no bruising really just pain and used a bruise gel so I'm hoping it's been a few days and pain is slightly going away that it should be fine today or tomorrow. I saw a pt say trump has 5 days left and kind of want to wait and see him die first but I stayed last week for it and it didn't happen so it was a waste of my time to stay, just tears and pain

Can you please show me the rope you are using? Does it leave any space between your neck and the knot? Did you make the knot be almost at the back of your neck?

This is pretty much it, I'd say it's at the back of the neck with little to no space. It's also so weird to me as I've gotten up and almost passed out three times today from standing but can't get that result with the rope

Yeah I agree that is weird. Also is the rope as high on the neck as possible? Because it seems like it can go higher.

When I drop it goes up that little bit left but I wouldn't really be able to get a photo of that successfully so just photos of the set up before I step. Also weirdly it is on the spot where I feel my pulse and then when it goes up it doesn't seem to be on that spot. When I feel my pulse which is how they say to find the carotid it's where the rope is in the photo not higher up but it does shift when I drop.

And what exactly do you feel when you drop? Do you feel like your head gonna explode and eyes pop out or some sensations on hands, the vision. Or do you just feel the rope tightening and not being able to breath and that's it?
