why Nitrogen is better than Nembutal

My issue with gas is it seems like quite a faff to set it up, especially the exit bag. I've read that it's possible to use scuba gear, if that's true it would be a much more attractive option for me.

pros (summary)

• nitrogen is AVAILABLE (all equipment is available !!!)
• peacefulness - same as Nembutal (just quicker); no painful or traumatic feeling of suffocation
• euphoria (but symptoms will vary for each individual)
• 3 to 5 breaths to full unconsciousness
• 7 minutes of oxygen deprivation causes death of the brainstem
• failure rate down to 0% if:
• - gas purity
• - proper CO2 and O2 displacement (by full face scuba/diving masks)
• - diving regulator - for 15 liters per minute (Lpm) for 30 minutes
• - move gas tank so it's not in reach of your hand or limbs (restrict 2 thumbs together with zip ties)
• - not found after 30 minutes from unconsciousness
• - 1 hour of unconsciousness - eliminate all failures (100% death)
• cheap (relative to nembutal)
• no doctor / society approval
• no organ damage: atmosphere is 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen
• - no damage to others: nitrogen quickly dispersed in atmosphere
• best way to fight against survival instinct
• - the only important question to ask yourself is: do i want to die or not

if society wants to encourage me to enjoy life:
- provide a logical reason/meaning/purpose for life ('42' is not acceptable :)

I'm -not- asking for any sources here!

I've been searching for scuba masks, and what I can find run at around $500. For those of you who have a set up including these masks, is that similar to what you have as well? I found some a little cheaper, but I'm not sure if they're the right kind.

As always, only respond if you feel comfortable doing so, as some are uncomfortable with these questions. Again, please do not post any sources.

SCBA is better than most SCUBA setups, unless the SCUBA is working on PP (Positive Pressure) which is uncommon (most SCUBA demand valves are non-PP) but possible, in that case it would perform the same as an SCBA.

Diving regulators don't work on LPM, they supply the gas on-demand.

I prefer straps on wrists.

99.9999% purity (!)

Nah, you don't need such extreme purity level, the standard 2.8 purity (99.8%) is more than enough, but if you can get a higher purity is ok and worth it if it increases your confidence in the setup. My cylinder is 4.0 (99.99%).

This is a myth, you only need to screw a couple of things.

You shouldn't notice anything.

Only minor movements were noticed in the Dignitas study, but as I have said before, you can remove that variable with strapping.

I guess N is better for me. I can take it to the hotel. I don't have to explain to people at home why I bought a gas cylinder :) No setup, drink and go. The only problem with N would be the risk of police visits. If we still had a legit supplier. I think there will be more inert gas threads in the future.
