Discussion Why doesn't a Dark Net market for SN exist?

If SN markets are going down at a rate of like 1 or 2 each year, the suppliers are being arrested and their data are being used to perform welfare checks on buyers...why won't someone just make an SN store on the dark web? It's not illegal to possess (at least for the US) but still it warrants welfare checks which could very well turn upside down someone's livelihood in moments by virtue of other people being present (eg. parents), so the risk is still almost as much as if it were illegal in the first place?

Also on a side note, is DMC really the only store currently available that ships to the US? There really is no other explanation for why its price is inflated to some 20x the conventional price of SN.

Short answer, no. DMC is not the only way to get it in the US. Several people have posted threads about other sources, it just takes some digging. Right now, there is no need for a dark net shop for SN, this MAY change in the future, but there are a lot of factors that come into play. DMC is simply the most known reliable one right now.

Why would it matter if it's not very profitable if clearnet sites like DMC already exist? Does doing darknet services make the cost go higher?

i think the market it pretty small for sn, i know a lot of people talk about it here, but in general not many people are aware, or want to buy it.

also i think quite a lot of people would find it hard to buy from dark net markets, its more complicated than clearnet, and there're already lots of threads about people being concerned about legality/welfare checks/privacy.

if a seller doesn't HAVE to sell it on the dark net, they won't ig, might lower their sales, and it's more complicated for them

SN in itself does not cause welfare checks in the US when bought. It is not illegal to posses.or buy. That is a rumor caused by fear mongers. Being a KNOWN suicide risk is what causes welfare checks. The dark net will not change these facts.

So it is not true then that buyers of SN are vulnerable to (and have been) welfare checked whenever a store goes down and its data is used by the authorities? (Like the Canadian site that went down not too long ago?)

The reason there aren't dark net SN sources is because SN isn't illegal
