Why are men more likely to ctb?

Statisitcs show that men are more likely to ctb. I am male and I think it has several reasons. It is the way men are raised. Don't show emotions, never cry, be strong and protect your family. Moreover I think for men it is way more difficult to find a partner. At least I know many men who are ill, want a partner and don't find one. (As we see it with dating apps.)
In my work group the psychologists said female patients could better adapt in work. I think this might be a point too. I do not know statistics but for example I know a really severe ill woman who does not take medication and still she functions in work perfectly.

Even if married or have a family, they still have nobody.

I think it is because of societal norms and the way they are raised, like you said. They are less likely to open up to others and they end up isolated. I think men are often under diagnosed with mental illnesses. Having that lack of support makes them more likely to ctb.

If you're ugly and you're a man, that's a death sentence imo. We are told not to show emotion, not cry, and to "man up" whenever we're going through something. For quite some time society has placed the burden of more responsibility and assertiveness on men. Those traits are seen as "masculine" and since masculinity has been so deeply associated with men it's expected that men live up to every single expectation society places on them while displaying that everything is ok on the outside (even if it's not). We cannot vent our frustrations to anyone about the way the system works or we're an "incel" or "misogynistic" or "hate women".

If an issue directly affects men nobody cares. They can virtue signal all day and post a bunch of "men's health" crap on their stories but it doesn't matter. Unless this outdated way of thinking changes, we can expect these issues to continue to cause serious problems in the future.

They say, it's always been this way but it hasn't. I have known many older women who would now be 75+ and they genuinely cared about me and other men. They looked after and cared for men. They were traditional. Now women from the moment they are born have been brainwashed to view men in a certain light. That we are sex crazed animals who use to oppress women, denied them to vote and put them in the kitchen. After a couple generations of being brainwashed, many women lost the ability to see what men are. That men were always like the movie The Titanic. That movie shows what we men are and always been.

I listened to a woman have an epiphany moment yesterday. She told the other men why didn't you tell us women you weren't like that? Why men aren't like what they are portrayed by society? She was a bit angry that she fell for the brainwashing.

Sadly, after enough generations of this, us men are now also becoming modern too. The traditional qualities is going away too. When that happens, I think women's suicide will be much much higher than mens.

Men use more lethal methods. I think a lot of the reason is that women keep on trying bad methods many different times and failing, so they eventually just give up and try recovery. Men shoot themselves once and succeed. However, there are exceptions to the rule of men killing themselves more, for example, in China the suicide rate used to be way higher for women. In India the rate for men and women is pretty much equal, because women tend to use more lethal methods. I'd imagine that in the past, the suicide rate for women would probably be way higher than men's, because medical treatment was so much more primitive... if you tried to overdose/poison yourself back then, it'd probably kill you just as well as a guy shooting himself.

Women attempt suicide more often, the difference is they choose non lethal methods and fail. There are multiple factors leading to this but first of them to me is basic biology. Women have the called motherly instinct, it's way more likely for a man to abandon their child in a traumatizing way; like taking a gun and leaving a mess. More lethal methods are more traumatizing and painful if you have kids.
There's also the fact that men created this idea that a real man doesn't cry about his problems or whatever, so it's way more likely for a woman to get actual help and get better.

I care very much about the suffering for both men and women who are forced to deal with being far less than ideal, physically. If being an ugly man is a death sentence, then so is being an ugly woman, especially when a woman's worth is almost always wrapped up in her looks and how feminine she appears naturally, the rest is always secondary.
I feel the same for other conditions and a lack of vital privileges.
But I agree that the word "incel" gets thrown around way too liberally, sometimes I have trepidation of even bringing up the term "lookism" as I feel it has been tainted by more radical and hateful groups, when it really so desperately needs to be taken seriously and discussed with compassion.

Because being an attractive woman is imo more rewarding and better than being a meh man both from a privilege standpoint (pretty privilege in this climate) and a self worth standpoint, so men are by default not attractive like women, whom are naturally beautiful.

I'd have to agree, with men being more intense / violent in their ways ...like myself. But it's certainly not a 1 way street.... Some women / girls go that route too. Just not as many.

But iIf a man kills himself its "obvious" he was just a loser - so no reason to hide his moral shortcomings after the fact.
