It's obvious that both factions have their difficulties. I ask the question because even though empathy, as a human being in general, lends prospective... I wonder if there are points of view that we can't see because we're the opposite sex. Things we don't even think to think about. It's not a competition to see who has it the worst because everyone is a little fucked and we can agree on that much without debate.

What are things that you think the other side couldn't begin to understand unless they were in your shoes?

My contribution is that ladies don't understand the depth of what it means to be a failure as a man because you can't live up to their standards or even societies standards and having to deal with the fact that some men actually do live up to the standards and how those same men use their position to establish a hierarchy that classifies you as less than.

Well objectively for example there are countries like Afghanistan and maybe a couple others where the women have lack of human rights compared to men, I can't think of places where its the opposite where those things are codified into law.

I'd say in the realest sense neither though, becus we dont all live in Afghanistan lol because you're right, my explanation is both experience biases because you're born a man or woman into certain expectations and you grow up with those expectations, and interests and jobs which are mens things and some are womens things, and there are male friendship groups, women friendship groups, gender-segregated schools as some examples which makes it even more so neither are totally able to relate to each others unique problems that results in innate bias. becus there are systemic issues and problems for both, and as more and more there are people who feel divided and insular about these things those unique problems seem harder to relate and convey to each other.

Neither. Societal standards affect everyone. As a trans woman I live up to neither, a cis person would never understand the pain of the life I have lived regarding my experience. But it's not the misery olympics. Discussions like these tend to paint broad strokes and lead to harmful generalizations.

The struggle of having a morning erection because your full bladder presses against the sacral nerve, forcing you to bow down in a 90–degree angle in front of the toilet bowl to force–aim your penis down and not make a mess. I presume more men face this "issue."

We could bicker about it in the first world but globally men have it easier. Women still don't have basic rights in a lot of places.

Also, I think women have it harder biologically.

We are really doing this gender argument?I see it all over social media, im tired of it. Both genders think they have it difficult, conclusion to the conversation.

Also it definitely matters which country your from.

The answer is going to be subjective as different people are going to have an easier or harder time with a certain gender's difficulties. As a trans girl who has experienced what life is like with either gender, I have experienced the social expectations of both these genders at some point in my life. For me being a woman is easier but that's a biased answer cus for example: I might be able to deal with being sexalized by more people in public but other women may not be able to deal with that as much as me and maybe be able to deal with not expressing emotions such as fear unlike me who has tougher time doing that. (these are differences i have experienced so it may be different for other people)

Why can't we just be empathetic to each other and stop comparing eachothers problems? It's not a competition to see who has it worse and comparison is just going to cause the other to feel like their problems are invalid. We have all had a tough time in life to be here so let's just listen to eachother. All of us is unique and have different problems, all of them valid. We don't like it when pro-lifers say that someone else has it worse so let's not do that with the opposite gender.
