Reincarnation could be cool just have to make sure to make better choices. I recently watched a video of a person that believes we are reborn. He believed that the trauma from birth makes us forget everyone we once knew. I guess this could be true you know how some family claim a kid knows about another family or persons they never met before.

I want to reply before I read other replies because I have thought about this a lot, like most others. So sorry if this repetitive.

First off, with my strict (but abandoned) religious background, I am confident that I am not evil enough for Hell. That's not a concern for me. Maybe something lesser than Heaven, but definitely not Hell. But I am also terrified of the idea of forever. Eternity sounds so daunting and exhausting, I think it is well beyond our comprehension to imagine what that entails. I love that things end, that nothing lasts forever. That is one of my few reprieves of this life that I wish was over. But forever?? That scares me."For this too shall pass." Is one of my largest comforts.

Honestly if things just end, we lose consciousness and our life here was "it," after this it's darkness, that doesn't sound bad at all. Because if you think about it, we would never know the difference. We would disappear and it wouldn't make a difference. I certainly can't change that, so might as well accept that. Maybe this is our one chance for an experience and after this, our eternal sleep is the blessing of not having to remember any of this ever again. I promise I won't mind; I will be dead.

reincarnation would be intressting, unfortunately the probability to end up in some shitty existence is very high: being born as a human there is a high probability to be traumatised or be born in violent societies as humannity is not capable and has no willfor a peaceful coexistence. being born as an animal there is a high probability to being catched or murdered by the most dangerous and violent species on earth: humans. if not you are subject to the senseless and violent rules of rivalry and fight for food, territory, sexual partners and so on. sad world. if i had to chose a animal: i would like to be a crocodile in liberty, a camel in liberty or just a little content and peaceful protozon. or a virus (for revemge ;)

being god is a good idea. one could just do nothing or only if it pleases without the constraints human life brings with it. and one could also watch stupidity of humanity from outside. and play if it pleases

Don't mean to sound corny, but the line "If I could start again, a million miles away, I would keep myself, I would find a way" from NIN's Hurt has always resonated with me.
I've daydreamed about being a little kid again and making "correct" life decisions with all my current memories. I just want to throw the whole life away now though, and have a completely new start. Beyond that I'd be happy to return to the same unthinking state I was in before I was born.

i want to be a ghost, just something immaterial and immortal, probably haunt some forest and do ghost stuff all day.

that or reincarnating, but in a life that i make exactly how i wanted it after my death, a life in which i could actually do something of value and have all that i wanted but ultimately couldn't get in this life, just as a gift for how much i suffered in this one. life can be something beautiful, it just wasn't like that for people like me.
