Accordingly to the The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists we are already on the Titanic, so why bother with CTB?

The climate ship has definitely sailed: Even if we could eliminate all carbon emissions overnight, the planet's average temperature and sea level would not decrease in the coming decades, because of the inertia built into the climate system. As with a massive ship, you can't wait until the last minute to start steering away from disaster. But even on the doomed Titanic, there would have been many more survivors if the right actions had been promptly taken, and the same is true today for global warming. in

No one is going to survive this time, there are no lifeboats and no rescue ships.

Maybe thats why more and more people ctb, they are allready affected or dosent want to wait for the climate/pollusion/extinction/recession doom.

Climate change is a thing that will continue to have petty arguments for or and against until it's too late, even then the usual suspects will still veto or say no at the UN which is pretty useless anyway

Technology will probably take care of it. Technology improves exceptionally. Expoterntial growth trumps climate change.

climate change has been happening steadily long before man otherwise we would still be in the ice age lol .. Making everything electric is just changing the problem from one thing to another and is just an excuse for the powers that be to tax everything that appears "ungreen " and to con the public. prime example is smart meters , constant advertising on how much they can save and how green they are ., they do sod all just tell you how much you are spending and even then thats not accurate , what are you going to do not have that cup of coffee because it costs 2p to boil the kettle , they are also not fit for purpose and need replacing a a couple of years but lets all have them fitted ,so a factory can use energy to make them then have hundreds of vans driving around the country to fit them and then die of radiation from them lol ...My 25 year old 4.0L jaguar has 4 catts and sales through emissions and does more mpg than my mechanics Lexus hybrid and any carbon footprint it made has already been made years ago , yet greens would say scrap it and buy a hybrid/electric ,do they realise the carbon footprint on making an electric car ? or where the rare mineral come from for the batteries. I`m not against being environmentally friendly and a recycle properly , all my bulbs are led and most of my furniture is upcycled I just hate all the bullshit and blame on consumers when companies should be forced to make ALL packaging recyclable especially what must be the biggest seller in the world crisps/potato chips and the packets aren't recyclable .... rant over lol ...https://abcnews.go.com/Technology/t...e-result-mining-create-tech/story?id=30122911

Looking at a lot of the heatwaves, bushfires, floods and other 'natural' disasters, it is pretty clear that the actual death toll is quite low thus far. It causes untold suffering to millions and is in the early stages of escalating, but actual deaths to few. So I can't see any argument in favour of catching the Titanic.
