Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Same. All last year it's all I wanted I just never had the balls to... Go. Few weeks ago I went to a bridge near me and I looked down and man. If I wasn't stone cold sober. I would go. I'm in San Diego so the tickets are only like 30 bucks to go I'm just wondering if I could trick them long enough to go over the edge
What if I could get at least 40 balloons, fill all of them with helium, tie them up with a good strong rope, and then all I have to do is to grip all of it till it slowly lift myself off the ground, wait for a little while to reach skyscraper height and let go off the grip?

Falling itself, the feeling, is not scary (I'm an avid cliff diver) and unless your bungee jumping (THATS horrifying). It's the forcing yourself to jump off part that will make you shit bricks and piss powder
I saw a video of a guy who jumped and accidentally landed on this metal phallic shaped object and was impaled by it through his ass. He survived... Fuck that. I'd rather die in a fire...
There was a guy in NYC who failed in a suicide attempt from the 39th floor. He landed on a car windshield, and it's believed this "saved" his life since it's a softer surface than the ground. The only good news is that news reports about 2 months later reported he was recovering well and was walking.
So, I guess you need to avoid cars when you fall. Even if you don't care about the damage to other people's property.
There's also the window washer who fell from the 47th floor and survived. It's speculated his scaffold absorbed a large portion of the fall. He was able to walk again within a year.
I think because you know that once you reach the bottom, you'll be launched up and have to fall over and over again until the kinetic energy is expended. And then you're just left there dangling from the cord lol until they slowly pull you up. With a cliff dive, it's just a one-time jump that only lasts a couple seconds.
Anyway, if you live in anyplace in the US except NYC, you'd be surprised by how hard it is to find buildings of an appropriate height that's accessible to the general public. Most of these tall buildings are condos that aren't accessible to anybody except residents, or office buildings that aren't accessible to anybody except workers.
And PS even if you get inside the building, you'll usually have to get to the roof to jump. I mean, the buildings have something called windows that prevent people from jumping out. Some of the buildings might have public viewing balconies at a high floor, although that's pretty unusual.
I think it's a frightening method. I don't like heights. There is only one method that appeals to me, and that's my nitrogen tank. Easy and painless. It brings me comfort to have it.
Beachy Head is around 500ft high and you can fall onto rocks. I was thinking that going off backwards (this may reduce your SI) your arms and legs would naturally hit the ground last. You'd hit with your back and head. I calculated at around 100 to 120mph. Can't see anyone surviving that. And especially at night. Nobody would see you so no one to stop or call the emergency services.
That was my thinking anyway.
From a certain height death should be guaranteed and of course once you jump there's no turning back. To me it seems bloody terrifying and obviously it will greatly damage the body so for those reasons it's not my cup of tea.
Depends on how you land, what you've impacted, and velocity. Pretty much if you don't land on your head it's going to be agonizingly painful and you might be rescued by the ICU.
Ow that is bad news. I can't imagine you can control your fall. I was thinking of jumping out of a hot air balloon which is 500 meter (1640 feet?). But even then you have to land on your head? And what about the wind with such heights? It might blow you a km away so very hard to choose the right "fall spot" I guess (apart from the fact it might break your fall)?
aaw my balloon dream to peaces :(
ps I never thought about all these specifics before
I don't know if I'm breaking a rule, but there was a documentary made in 2006 called "The Bridge." It's public knowledge and on YouTube for free. It's arguably death porn, but it shows a number of deaths of people jumping from the GGB in real time. I'm really into film in general, and it's really well made. The cinematography is breathtaking, so in that respect it's amazing. And the film crew supposedly had the police on speed dial while filming. I couldn't do it, but it has a 98% success rate. They interview a guy who survived it, of course he's hard-core pro-life now. I posted elsewhere they just funded some majorly expensive bill to build a net under the bridge by 2021. A movement started by a psychiatrist, and people still wonder why mental health treatment is so bad?
I would need to be really fucked up on something, preferably alcohol if I were to attempt the falling method of suicide, the ideal place for me would be a jagged canyon below... but if there is sand, dirt or concrete below me I don't think this method would be reliable, but then again it all depends on how I land

The bill for the net passed the San Francisco City Council way back in 2008, but construction didn't start until 2018. People objected to the net because they thought it would ruin views of Golden Gate. (In addition to being expensive.)
They're deliberately making the net almost invisible, in order to satisfy people who thought the net was ugly. An unfortunate, although seemingly completely unintended, consequence of this is that it'll be hard for jumpers to see where there might be gaps in the net.
It's very painful even if it's just for a minute or few. If you jump from high enough your brain and body will splatter into little pieces, don't do it.
This is what I tell people that want to shoot themselves or jump.
I am not convinced that shooting yourself or jumping is painless because there will be cells left with oxygen, blood, and neurotransmitters. Pain is not only processed by a module in the brain but also pain is localized in each cell.

This article is about a man who was shot and lived—of course it's going to be painful if you survive. I'd be interested in a link to something that proves it would be painful for a fatal jump from height or gunshot to the head that appears to kill someone instantly.

I don't think there's a lot of way to know for sure how many people who shoot themselves in the head die without feeling any pain. It's not like you can interview the people after they die.
I'd say that almost nobody who shoots at the heart dies instantly. To make it all the worse, the general consensus is that somebody who shoots at their heart will remain conscious for about 30 seconds.
As for jumping- you might be able to get an idea of how many people remain conscious after their jumps. There will usually be people on the ground after your fall, and if the jumper's conscious the other people might hear their screaming. With that being said it would be almost impossible to know how many people are dead when they land and how many are unconscious.
Anyway, I know there are pictures of people who supposedly break into pieces after they jump, but I don't believe it. This is 2019 and you can use your computer to make a fake picture of almost anything.

Both are so gruesome. I have this fascination with jumping because my cousin did it and I wish I had the balls. I either read or saw that some people survive the GGB jump (2% actually survive completely) but then they drown. How they know they drowned is that the body excretes a white foam from the nose and mouth. How that isn't washed away by the time their body is recovered I don't know. Here's a survivor's story.
Of course he's pushing the whole grateful to be alive thing now. Guess he got a job or SSI or something. I am running out of finances, but I managed to get my last piece of the puzzle together today. If I can go through with SN, I'll post this beginning of the process, but then I'm wiping everything. If I survive, I guess I'll appeal for a ban. We certainly don't need any more publicity, but I'm sure people are as curious about SN as I am.

Nobody knows 100 percent for sure. It's too risky. It's like let's see if you choose a peaceful method there is an almost 100 percent chance you will keep your dignity and have a safe transition to the afterlife/death. But if you choose a method which it's unknown if it will be peaceful. Then you risk having your dignity and everything you love ripped away from you in the most horrific manner imaginable.
Meaning don't play Russian roulette with your dignity.

Ugh. That's my one issue with SN - the poor man's N. The corpse can look gruesome I read - someone published an article where the person was greenish grey - but I think he had been dead for awhile. I don't totally love the idea of SN, but I may have to settle.

SN is differnet because people can be monitored after ingesting it, they can communicate for at least a little while. Whereas with jumping or shooting if they die there is no way to ask them how they feel.
