i wanted a place where i could talk to like-minded people since everywhere i go was filled with pro-lifers. upon entering this forum and exploring it, i then opted on finding an effective method of ctb—which i now have. this forum has become my comfort place now. i come here to vent out, try and help out other people, and research more information regarding my chosen method.

This is us place for me to admit my thoughts and feelings. It's the only place I've ever admitted to my depression, and desire to want to die.

Because my life is outwardly good - good job, nice home, beautiful wife (who hates me and shows no affection whatsoever) - I feel like a fraud being depressed and wanting to die. I don't have "serious" problems, relative to what is out there in the world. I feel like a privileged jerk, who's whining about being unhappy.

And yet, no one on here has ever said anything like that. All I've heard is respect, and empathy. It's incredible.

So I come back to express my pain when I'm pretty sure there is nowhere else I could.

It's an outlet, a support and a resource for info on methods. I'm always hoping for a better method to emerge! After all SN is a relatively recent trend right? I never heard of it till 2-3 years ago on here. Or a much better more reliable and cheaper source of N, preferably in capsule form (I know, dream on).

Also I like the philosophical discussions. I think those of us who readily embrace the idea of death often have interesting thoughts and perspectives to share.

It's the first forum I've ever been on where I regularly post, I used to be too anxious. It's nice to just come out and say what's on my mind.

I believe that you will only gain something from this site if it gives you useful method information. Apart from finding a way to exit, there is actually nothing to gain from being alive at all. I have no hope for anything, which is a good thing, as having hope will just lead to more pain. Everything usually just causes more suffering in some form. There are only disadvantages to existing, rather than benefits to being here. In fact it can only be a disadvantage to bring someone into this world as suffering is inevitable in life, yet if we were never born we would have remained in this ideal state of nothingness

I've already got my methods sourced and ready to go. Now I'm just here for the ride until my housemate leaves my apartment and I can finally get out of dodge.

That and reading other peoples stories and successful passings keeps me humble and feel comforted.

Plus the company here is generally fantastic. Bar the odd Incel who ill never see eye to eye with, people here are incredibly genuine human beings. None of this "OMG I love you so much despite never having spoken to or met you before, You are so valid and you mean the world to me" shite like you see from troglodytes on places like reddit. People here care because were all in the same boat. The lowest of the low as it were. And even if were on the fence about wanting to go, we push those people up to get help rather than pull them along on our ride.

I'm trans, I've always been an outcast but this is one place that i feel like I actually kinda fit in. This is a one of a kind place and I feel blessed to leave my insignificant little marks on here before I pass.
