To me, this site has always seemed more theoretical, a place to connect, and a means of venting. But I know some people have successfully CTB.

Yes but I'm too stupid to remember. It's more like "I recall that there were cool people I used to follow" and "I wish I could remember their name/pfp."

But I also miss people who haven't gone yet. In a sort of resigned acceptance that all these comforting existences will eventually leave me behind (as my ego would put it) whether it's through CTB, recovery, or otherwise.

Yes, there are many users who I think about fairly often and wonder what their experience was like and wishing that if there's any way for our wishes and love to affect something about a deeper reality then I hope they felt peace and weren't too scared and that if there's something after death that they could experience something better, something without their pain and loneliness and trauma and suffering. I hope somehow they can feel love from me and everyone who cared for them even if it was only those who read their posts here or wrote something to them in their last moments.

I think it had more to do with the absolute agonizing state I was in on 2024 but there was this user that left (and even still)a big impression on me.

A complete stranger, never interacted with them, don't even remember their username or if they were even male or female. All I remember about their profile is their custom title being "I want to commit sonniku damnnit!"[something like that] their hatsune miku profile pic, and that I don't recall them having made many posts.

I came across their posts while I was desperately trawling the forums in 2024 for anything regarding SN. Their posts were exactly what I curious and searching for.
I became really interested in this user because they seemed...really determined and proactive for whatever they were planning, all the while, not being too dramatic about it, which I thought(and still do) was really cool and real.

I stumble upon their final thread and it was really bittersweet as I was eagerly following them with their journey of obtaining SN, even through out delays, frustrations, etc,.

I guess they succeeded because the hour of their last post was their last login time/date and they are now banned.

Again, never met them or interacted with them, don't even know if we'd kick it in any way, wasn't even an active user, but I still think about this user at least once every quarter.

Whatever happened, I hope they're in a better place. Here or there.

I wouldn't say I "miss" anyone. There are certain members who either CTB or stopped using the forum, and I do think about them occasionally. I didn't speak to them privately I just remember replying to some of their posts or seeing their posts, especially back in 2018.

I miss willitpass so much, it makes me so angry that she struggled and went through so much, I hope she's at peace now.

A few of my friends from here that I used to talk to regularly have been inactive for a while, I don't know whether they are just busy with their lives or have actually gone through with ctb. But I miss them dearly and I'm praying they are doing well.

Yes. One friend I talked to daily. But they didn't leave a goodbye post so I don't want to say.

Even goodbye posts fade quickly. The world moves on. Even here.
