If Secular Talk was assassinated I would be heartbroken. I am not sure whether I would be radicalized. It might depend on the perpetrator. I am already in favor of a gun reform in the US. It would probably make me even more in favor of stricter gun laws.

In Germany it is rather unlikely something like that happens. We are not that polarized yet. And barely anyone has a gun.

I don't really like Secular Talk. His videos are full of misinformation and he relies heavily on clickbait.

If anyone is killed I am disappointed. I don't have to like someone to not wish them dead.

If someone I liked or respected or knew was killed, then it would hit me more personally, of course. That's understandable. We cry more when our parents die than when someone we know loses their parents even though we empathize for them.

What would I do?

What can I do? I don't want to see random killings keep happening to anyone. But this seems to be the way of the world now.

I mean, I'd be sad but certainly wouldn't be radicalized~ The only one I liked disappeared from the internet 9 months ago tho~

I wish there was one that actually agreed with all of my most important opinions tho because none do~ in the same vein, neither party does too tbf~ As far as religious channels go tho, I'd be pretty devastated and shocked if any of them were killed~ :(

There was the awful case of Jill Dando- a UK presenter who was shot in 1999. It still isn't fully resolved. Barry George- who had been portrayed as some weird stalker was convicted but then later, aquitted.

The more major concern is who killed the person and, why. If it's some extremist or, psychotic killer, we can feel apalled at the lack of security or if they were known to be dangerous and allowed to be free. But ultimately, sone will slip through the cracks.

The more major concern is why though. What were they involved in or, knew about that provoked such a violent reaction? My concern is more on any cover up that seems to happen afterwards a lot.

I suppose truthfully, it would depend who it was. If it was someone who provoked a lot of anger, it's obviously less of a surprise. Most especially if their decisions have negatively impacted people's lives. It's not to justify it of course but, it's less of a surprise.

I don't tend to like politics much or, know that many commentators. Only the satirical ones. I'd see it as a blow to free speech if they were targetted. But then, all of it just confirms my perspective that the world is messed up.
