I'd give it to my mother so she has enough money to live after I'm dead. I can't travel because I'm physically ill so money is of no use to me. I'd want her to have it.

100K is a nice chunk of money, but it's not life-changing either... I'd probably invest it.
If it was 500k-1M, then I'd use it to move out and buy a small house in the countryside or a condo in a beautiful place and live comfortably. I'd probably delay ctb for a few years.

I think it depends on how you define life-changing. For me 100K would be incredibly life-changing. It would provide some security while I try out some new career things without feeling like my back is constantly against the wall.

It's not life-changing in the sense that you don't have to work anymore or anything like that, but it could really provide a truly fresh start.

100k is NOTHING these days...I could spend it in five mins. What? you can buy a really shit apartment in a place quite shitty? However, if you were to change that number to several million ..yes, for me it would probably completely change things and make me want to live.

to some people that is a significant amount- & enough to be life changing- it depends on an indivuals circumstance-if id had that even a year or so ago that would have significantly changed my life & reduced strong anxiety and stress- but due to having a severe breakdown it wouldnt help now- and yet I think that amount would have stopped it happening previously- as money worries effected & spread into every single aspect of my life.

I would get a plane ticket to get to my LDR (long-distance relationship) partner and at least get to have a look at her in real life. She recently dumped me because I sent her something so horrible (not cheating material). I could only pay for my sin by just swallowing the consequence that she's happier with an actual person that she can actually touch and stuff. It's a huge sum of money no matter where you are, I think it's just about context. No, you can't retire on it or start living a totally lavish lifestyle or something like that. But that kind of money could take away a ton of anxiety and stress from life. That's really all I want when it comes to money. Just relief, not having to worry about it constantly.

You COULD obtain this amount of money. It's not even ridiculously unlikely that it would happen...

If you don't have any mental illnesses or are good at making money, maybe it's not unlikely to run into that kind of money. We're all probably open to ideas if you have any.
