Well, if you don't want any traces you should close all social profiles or at least change email/passwords. I can tell you that my brother who killed himself had a phone and a tablet but since both needed a password, which nobody has, the cops just stuck them in the evidence locker and called it a day. I think they probably only do deep dives if it's a murder investigation. Unless you have a hacker in the family it shouldn't be too hard to make your computer difficult to access.
