Will definitely give it a try. Thank you! A big part of me wants to run my health into the ground too. I don't know what is stopping me. My partner and pets?!
pardon my annoying questions but what is an enneagram?
B vitamin especially B12 is super important for mental health disorders. A lack of b12 can cause psychosis. As BPD is classed as being on the border of psychosis and neurosis and I have shown psychotic symptoms before. I used to be a Amphetamine addict. It affected my already fragile mental health. I want to protect my brain. I don't like having mania at all. My counsellor and I both think I have Bipolar 2.
Yikes, amphetamine/ cocaine are in some ways the toughest addiction to kick. Makes sense why you're depressed. It really inhibits your ability to experience joy, and causes long lasting depression. Have heard vitamin deficiency/ nutrition along with trauma are the top contributors to MH problems. Drugs can often cause or prolong. Including psych drugs as the brain adapts to them. So temporary problems can be prolonged, or can get rebound effects making the problem more severe. They can also cause new psych problems. BPD now around here used to be considered more to be related to fear of abandonment and being emotionally unstable but other symptoms. Used to be border of psychosis/ neurosis here too. It's said to be closely related to trauma. Many people choose to label themselves as having complex trauma partly, because it's very stigmatized in a lot of places. Really enjoyed a film I watched about bipolar "bipolarized". Mostly have been said to be considered depressed anxious or ADD. Have had bipolar considered briefly but ends up ruled out. Those disorders tend to run together and don't take cause into account. Enneagram is very related to fear/ hope. Everyone falls into 9 types. One way I prefer it to the DSM is that it's not a one size fits all. There's various levels of health to above average to below average. Am on the unhealthy level. They are said to correlate to MH diagnosis. Though that's at the unhealthy level. They take into account what you're specific type will look like when healthy. Where as psychiatrists I believe often use themselves as a benchmark. Think they are often Intuitive Thinking on the MBTI. That's partly why I more and more people get considered autistic. Sensing is vastly more common. I think it's being apathologized though. My Enneagram is correlated to Paranoid Personality Disorder when unhealthy. Though don't think it takes trauma/ mistreatment into account much it more or less fits. Have been openly lied to about before to get coerced into taking drugs. Being suicidal but objectively pretty attuned with reality and not significantly mentally impaired
Cbd oil is helping me. Relaxation of anxiety without sedation. Maybe it's a placebo effect but if it works who cares?
CBD doesn't help me me anxiety, but it's done wonders for physical pain for me. Have heard it's helped others as well. Placebo has been shown to be very powerful. In fact it's been shown to even be effective when people know it's a placebo. Don't think I'm a candidate for it. Also have failed to be hypnotized. Wonder if it's related. Glad it's giving you peace of mind though. I've thought of trying to vape it or a patch. Though am definitely CTB. Heard there's evidence oil has been what's causing problems with vaping so would be cautious with it

Marijuana relaxes my mind and body if taken in small, somewhat infrequent amounts :)

I need something to make myself forget about worries and relax even temporary. Weed doesn't work for me, what can you recommend? That won't cause anxiety.

Clonazepam (a benzo) might work if you haven't tried it, you might be able to get a script for anxiety

If you'd like to avoid the pharma route, I'd suggest looking into l-theanine (increases GABA which then lowers anxiety), possibly ashwaganda or valerian root (they're usually used for people with adrenal fatigue but also for stress). There's quite a few herbals out there that can make one calmer.

Of course if you're looking for a more heightened effect of relaxation, I don't see anything wrong with some marijuana usage, just be careful if you have manic symptoms as it can set off psychosis for people w/bipolar disorder.

For me benzodiazepines don't completely kill that neurotic inner monologue that constantly going on in my head... And driving me crazy often (I am diagnosed with OCD)
It only relaxes me physically.
I think I am afraid to be hooked up on opioids... That would only make my life worse.

Yes, I should look into it, somewhere here was a thread about it
kratom has helped me a lot, but a mixture of legal otc tea plants is surprisingly strong too, i usually did benzos when my ocd, panic attacks and so on where too much to bear.. i share this blend i made for myself. some herbs on their own are also similar to diazepam, no joke there has been a study about that. ..

Chamomile
Lavender
Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis)
damiana tea
green salvia (or sage?)
eucalyptus

i crushed the leaves and made a fine powder of them to increase their absorption rate, you could also put that powder into capsules

the first time i tried this blend i fell asleep withing 10 minutes after i started to feel the effects (so 20-25min after drinking it)
its also highly alkaline, increases libido, relaxes a lot and improves mood. im still surprised how strong the effects are tbh, cheap and natural plant power hahaha

kratom also is a good plant with its own strengths, i wouldn't recommend doing it daily, like i did:>

I never tried any hard drugs since I have no safe means of obtaining them. I do also have an anxiety disorder but my doctor won't prescribe me benzos because he is against them, they are highly addicting he says, so he just prescribed me SSRIs, but I won't take them. After 24 years of pure abstinence I started drinking alcohol and it feels pretty good, I guess. Numbs you a bit. Cigarettes have no positive effects on me and I hate the smell and lightheadedness it gives me. After hearing some positive things about ashwagandha I looked it up on Amazon. The most sold product has a ton of 5 star reviews, praising it to heaven but then it turned out that the order comes with a letter saying that the customer will get a free package if they give the product 5 stars on Amazon, no joke. So that sounds like a scam, the only reviews you can really trust are the mediocre-bad ones and those say that it basically does nothing for them.
Have you guys made any more good experiences with over-the-counter products?

I think so, I believe personality trait agreeableness can predict ability to be hypnotized. And agreeableness helps with the placebo effect as well!

Funny how the placebo is more effective than 80% of modern medicine!

CBD vaping doesn't seem to do anything for me. I've tried some expensive high potency stuff a while back. I think the benefits of CBD require the full plant, the full spectrum of cannabinoids.
