Point Blank is one of the greatest party games ever! I wish they brought it back but sadly Lightguns more or less died when CRT displays became obsolete (Unless you're willing to shell out some money for one of those fancy modern ones.)I've played a few Lightgun games over the years, my favourite was always Point Blank. I had it on the PS1 as a kid, but playing the arcade version was the best and I was fortunate enough to have a Point Blank arcade cabinet at a local shop back then I used to play on. Sadly they removed it many years ago. I miss it a lot...
Longplays and TASes are among my favorites. They're a great way to experience games without playing them! I watch a channel called "ultimate player" which does TASes of fighting games, as well as some other genres. Here's a sample:That World of Longplays YouTube channel is incredible. It's immense just how many recorded playthroughs of games there are available to watch on that channel. Thousands of them, all collected into one huge digital library.
Speedrun it now. Or at least try doing some speedrun tricks. People that love the game so much that they finish it multiple times go to speedrunning as a natural extension.Finished Twilight Princess again, and there is now a giant hole in my life. I love that game.
I finished Mafia 2 a few weeks ago. I really enjoyed the game; the setting, the dynamic between Joe and Vito, and how surprisingly funny the game was in places. The ending felt really rushed though. Apparently, a lot had to be cut out due to deadlines.
I started playing Mafia DE afterwards, but it doesn't have the same vibe as Mafia 2. I'm still early in the game, so maybe it'll change. What both games have in common, however, is that they are incredibly buggy. I haven't played games this buggy in a long time. At one point, I had to push Joe halfway through the map to trigger the story. And Mafia DE locks up my PC with a black screen when in full-screen mode.
Funny you say that, I also started a MetroidVania: Bloodstained ROTN. Very good and VERY expansive and probably more your cup of tea since it's much more forgiving (And allows you to grind if you must.)Just started Hollow Knight. It is not my type of game. I am not a fan of tough platforming and punishing mechanics but I can not stop playing it. The visuals are amazing and the soundtrack is very nice.
I backed it on Kickstarter and played it day one. Very fun. Do need to play all of the extras that have been released since though.Funny you say that, I also started a MetroidVania: Bloodstained ROTN. Guys, I have played almost 40 hours of Hollow Knight in the last week. I love this game! I have laughed, I have cried. I am obsessed. I already can not wait to play Silk Song.Just started Hollow Knight. It is not my type of game. I am not a fan of tough platforming and punishing mechanics but I can not stop playing it. I'm not really one for playing online multiplayer, but I hope you do find someone!I usually play Yume Nikki Online and Overwatch 2
Would really like to play them with someone
