Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I don't think there will ever be any "signs" beyond your own discretion. People have survived with debilitating chronic pain/illness, conditions like cluster headaches (literally called suicide headache because they are one of the most painful things you can experience), and more. They've even found some ways to be happy.

The real crux of it is what you are willing to deal with, what you feel is truly worth it. If you're looking for signs, it sounds like you're not ready. The final decision to ctb can come from you and ONLY you.

i think it can be seen on a continuum rather than a binary choice. a certain threshold of quality of life where dying becomes an option on the table. not an imperative, but an option.

Just wanting some peace

For me ceasing to exist is always preferable, in fact for me ceasing to exist is the positive solution to find peace from the torture and suffering of this dreadful, painful and deeply undesirable existence I just always saw as a mistake where there is no limit as to how much one can be tortured.

I'll just always find it torture to exist no matter what, it's just so terrible how humans cause all this harm and suffering by imposing this existence at all, to be conscious burdened with this existence is the most terrible, torturous burden and I'd never wish to be conscious of anything at all. I just find it so horrible how the torture can continue for decades longer just for one to face the terrible extreme agony of old age, to exist really is an abomination to me and all I want is peace, simply just existing is enough to make me wish for the peace of non-existence where all is gone and forgotten but of course this existence should never be imposed at all.

I think its subjective, but there are definitely cases where death is preferable

Committing suicide is never "better". It is merely a choice to end one's life before it otherwise would have. There are also no "signs" that one should or should not kill themselves. The decision should come after weighing the options and careful thought.

To me there are three things:

1) Irreversible life path that sucks. You're stuck and you know that no matter what nothing will change. That even with lots of discipline and effort it'd land you nowhere.
2) Health issues. Can be anything. Same, irreversible or not available for you because of money or just can't be cured (or anything making it impossible for you).
3) No real love, no feeling of being included in communities; loneliness.

When you have those three, I believe suicide is okay. I have those three, and it's unbearable. Still couldn't do it. Been decided to do it for half a year now, can't really do it. It sucks because it's like living in hell. I'd rather die, for 1 nice day, I have 30 bad days.

What much more is there to do?

its okay, you just need more time to think about it to prepare your whole body. in my case ive been surviving long enough for my depression and anxiety to hurt me physically. i have an unbearable headache, chest pains and random panic attacks everyday. it now takes less force to push me to ctb.

Thank you for this. I have those three and many more. Chronic, progressive incurable illness is the biggest one for me. They say family love and good health are the most important things in life. Unfortunately I'm 0/3😭

I agree with others. It's a balance- as I see it. Reasons to live vs. Reasons to die. The reasons to die are obviously problems so then- we need to decide whether we can adequately fix our problems. The reasons to live can be things we have or, things we hope for. Ultimately, we have to decide whether they are worth the effort or whether our hopes are likely to become a reality and fulfil us.

I tend to think ideation makes more sense when both the reasons to live become diminished- via things like anhedonia/ apathy alongside our problems increasing in intensity.

I agree with others though- we are all going to have our own personal triggers that nudge us in either direction. Some things that may seem inconsequential to one person may feel devastating to another.

You are the only one that can conclude those signs for yourself. Everyone is different and has their own individual unique experiences and circumstances. In my opinion if someone truly has no hope at all they won't continue to try and get better, or at least won't for long. Don't feel the need to rush yourself at all, time will likely tell. ❤️

Same. I'm 0/3 and probably 0/100 if the list was longer (no kidding)
