Changes in the weather, storms, snow, rain, sunny days. Birds flitting in the trees, squirrels, raccoons, any life that is not human. Rivers, creeks, ponds, and all that lives within them. Kindness, the success of others, especially my sons. People holding open doors for those who have difficulty doing so. Strangers taking parcels home for those in need of help. A smile from another. Generosity without expecting something in return. Cleanliness, art, good books (when I could read them), honesty, good manners, singing, walking, sculpting...I could go on forever. What are some things that still bring you a sense of joy? Even if they're small, or fleeting.
For me, I feel really fuzzy inside when my cat sits in my lap or uses me as a back/armrest. He's a shit most of a the time so it feels really special when he's affectionate and keeps me company. There are also some songs that make me feel positive emotions sometimes. And I like to waste time watching shit on "conspiracy theories", unclassified stuff (because when it's not scary it's exciting in a weird way), and videos/docs about ancient civilizations.
Those are a couple of random things that still spark some kind of joy in me. I got the idea for this post because my cat is currently sleeping in my lap, haha.
