What are some things that still bring you a sense of joy? Even if they're small, or fleeting.

For me, I feel really fuzzy inside when my cat sits in my lap or uses me as a back/armrest. He's a shit most of a the time so it feels really special when he's affectionate and keeps me company. There are also some songs that make me feel positive emotions sometimes. And I like to waste time watching shit on "conspiracy theories", unclassified stuff (because when it's not scary it's exciting in a weird way), and videos/docs about ancient civilizations.

Those are a couple of random things that still spark some kind of joy in me. I got the idea for this post because my cat is currently sleeping in my lap, haha.
Changes in the weather, storms, snow, rain, sunny days. Birds flitting in the trees, squirrels, raccoons, any life that is not human. Rivers, creeks, ponds, and all that lives within them. Kindness, the success of others, especially my sons. People holding open doors for those who have difficulty doing so. Strangers taking parcels home for those in need of help. A smile from another. Generosity without expecting something in return. Cleanliness, art, good books (when I could read them), honesty, good manners, singing, walking, sculpting...I could go on forever.

my morning coffee. other than that, i literally feel no joy or happiness at all. i just watch mindless tv to numb/distract myself from the constant intrusive thoughts.

edit: i guess planning my suicide also brings me some sort of relief/joy too

I find myself asking this question too much as of late that its what's driving me down more and more. I can't seem to find anything anymore that brings me joy. I'm sure there are things that would but being able to do them is impossible.

Glimpses of kindness, piano, I love the rain and my own sense of humor granted I mostly keep my thoughts to myself as I'm quiet but I do find some of my thoughts funny I miss laughing as much out loud though

I still love sex haha, and viddy games keep me occupied and entertained. In general, media content has kept my 'happy' feelings functioning; I can still appreciate art, I still smile at manga, and I'll sing along to songs I like.

Nothing. Maybe some things can serve as a distraction or a way to lessen pain temporarily, but nothing brings me actual joy.

Watching shows from my childhood or adolescence, eating junk food, playing some games, all of these provide temporary relief for me but can ultimately be overridden anytime I remember how pathetic I am.

Life is precious and looks there are still some opportunities and actions to take so I can enjoy things again. I think I will try everything before taking my own life... and yes I have Cyanide and SN already at home since some months ago.

Also I don't want to hurt my family, I don't want to leave Keane (bunny) alone, I'm afraid there is something on the other side that will punish me, etc

Wish you all the best :)

It's nice to see a slightly hopeful thread to remember the little things in life that might not be enough, but that get us through the days sometimes. When my appetite is there, and I can afford it, good food is blissful, if only extremely fleeting. I also love the feeling when my insomnia has kept me up for so long that my body physically cannot take it anymore, and my eyes finally get heavy - I love that I know I'm about to sleep for a good while.

Talking to the person I really like is my favorite thing in the world so that usually makes me happy. I love everything they say and laugh at every joke they make- they're seriously the best.

Was about to post that nothing brings my joy but I can laugh or smile when I see/think something funny. I can also appreciate the absence of anxiety/pain/etc if I catch myself at the right time. But death is probably the one thing that brings me joy, I can think about any thing I dislike (NEETdom, virginity, loneliness, etc) and rejoice in that it will end when I ctb. I try to block out the probability of life extension and high-tech garbage fucking up my plans.

You sound like a deep thinker with a compassionate heart, l too enjoy seeing people use their manners, and a greeting from a stranger has me bouncing on my paws, l love reading(mainly horror novels) my dog Max brings joy to my heart, and sometimes when l play my electric guitar l sing along to whatever song l'm playing, yesterday it was pink Floyd Comfortably numb!

I used to photograph them all the time. This one was my favorite, with the cashew hanging out of his mouth; reminded me of that famous picture of Albert Einstein sticking out his tongue. I named him "Pepperjack."
