I actually think that the welfare for DMC happens because the site got shutdown and the platform hoster got all the orders (the welfare checks happened like 2 weeks after that).
After that the name of DMC should be known at customs for sure. But it doesn't make sense why it only happens in Canada and the UK (and some in the US). Maybe the UK was always strict and Canada is more aware because it's history with Kenneth Law.

Wondering if it would spread through europe anytime.

Yes, unfortunately the UK government is now fascist. They did one to me as well. It's psychopathic and damaging behaviour. I'm sorry for your experience. About your question of what they can do legally, unfortunately the answer is 'everything' because no one will hold them accountable if it's related to mental health or suicide. The police are completely above the law in this country. If it's any comfort, they are also completely incompetent and waste all their money so it's unlikely they will be able to harm you further.

As I said in my last post in this thread a user here mentioned recently they know that their cards are being tracked for "suspicious" transactions. This is relatively easy imo bc everything is digital nowadays.

We would need to now how UK authorities got access to the database bc obviously "DMC" wasn't shut down - they still seem to operate their meat curing business. If the webhoster was within the EU (or even within the UK) it was probably very easy to force them to shut down the webhosting for his website.

I was under the CMHT at the time and I had no welfare check - so I don't think they were back then.
