Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

They don't want to learn or understand. They are the moral majority they want to control.
If they did want to understand they would chat openly with us...
HERE'S YOUR CHANCE TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT.... no one will insult you or attack you ask a question speak to us
I highly doubt they want an open discussion. That would not work in their favor. I'm more towards they will continue to try and use sneak tactics to extract exactly what they want. PM'img people

That's the thing. They'll never want an adult, intellectual conversation regarding suicide. Any rational and logical argument that one might give will be met with "It gets better," "Suicide is selfish," "Life is a gift," or some combination of the three.

Rational discussion with irrational people? People who's minds are already made? Why waste your time and energy with them?
@Jean4 , please spend your time providing support to the community, it's what you do best. We love you for that. Picking a public fight with pro-life people won't do anyone any good. That's my 2 cents.

People here have told me they wanted to try to have a discussion. Here is their opportunity instead of PMing me or contacting members on Facebook.
I'm not afraid to face them in public.Members want to answer questions.
If they are serious about the topic, I am giving them an opportunity to learn. If they blow this opportunity, then they really don't care about the issue.

The catch is they're going outside the forum too--they just happen to read this non-stop.
It'd be like (example, not reality!) someone coming to or house, but if you answer the door or phone, they'd hang up/run off--so you have to respond or do something at the place you have your hobby as it's the only place they read. BUT, they will leave notes all over your house about how you don't talk.
I say that because I've seen some of them offsite lol.
Any rational and logical argument that one might give will be met with "It gets better," "Suicide is selfish," "Life is a gift," or some combination of the three.
But when any of them goes through some shit and ends up suicidal as a result, their fellow pro-lifers will probably turn on them when their "arguments" are no longer convincing to them. I wish things like that didn't have to happen, for someone in the pro-life camp to understand how we think and feel about this, but that seems to be the way it is.

I read all the posts @Jean4 made in this thread and agreed, mental health discussion should be de-stigmatized and also uncensored to allow dissenting views instead of prolife rhetoric being pushed in all directions, so far, even the pro-lifers out there fail to do that. Also @Esc9434 is right about if these 'pro-lifers' want to help people, they need to address the real issues and stop pushing their rhetoric around. There is no progress to be made if issues continue to be one-sided (favoring the pro-lifers) and not allowing dissenting views, especially unpopular and controversial stances.

I don't think they are going to respond. I think they will continue to come to me.
I am hoping, by giving them the opportunity, those who wanted to talk to them can see we tried. So their conscience are cleared. I am also hoping they will stop harassing members on and off Facebook and stop attacking the admin.
I am putting it on on me. Let them target me. I want this board back to normal.

It's time that mental health services were guided and driven by service users. We keep getting told what is good for us and are very rarely asked our opinion.
I'm tired of mental health getting a wee boost when some celeb claims they have an issue.
The worst thing you can do to a mental health patient or a suicidal person is tell them their view is not relevant.

People took their lives from the beginning of time, with or without the internet.
Also here people are in a safe surrounding with people, who are monitoring conversations, inappropriate users get blocked etc.
I can imagine there are forums, which are way unsafer for people

And all of us have mental health issues here. Nobody more than me lol. Which is another reason for this post. Some of our more fragile members are getting upset because of the pro-lifers. I won't have these members decompensate because of them.

Have other people had messaged from them? As @Jean4 you know I did. Ffs have they been sending out messages to loads of us? If I'm anything to go by the paranoia as a consequence is not doing my mental health much good so it's not very nice of them really is it.

I worked hard clean shaved everyday in a suit for a bank I had an episode and was given risperidon, after 6 month serous side effects kicked in, I din't have a clue what was happening as they never warmed me, I've been clean of all meds for over a year and nothing has changed, it's ruined my life I can;t even be bothered to wash.

I understand. Maybe it will be helpful to do what I do. Every day I write in the Kitchen Sink post a list of things that need to be done for the day. Every day I write shower and brush my teeth. It works.
