Yeah that is why I like to see the pics and videos too because it confirms how lethal handgun suicide are and I actually haven´t seen a handgun suicide fail only heard of them or heard about someone getting shot from a distance with a handgun but point blank suicide with a handgun seems pretty damn lethal.

I also will either do partial hanging or handgun temple shot.

To the people saying why am I choosing temple for the "looks", it has nothing to do with looks lol. Aiming for the temple is common and reliable. Aiming and hitting the brainstem is super hard to do with a gun in your mouth and you may miss and sit there and choke and drown in your own blood if you miss.

I hope I didn't offend you, because I feel I'm one of those people. But to be fair, you did say that a shotgun was too messy and a hassle for the clean up crew and another person was playing with the same idea and/or smaller calibres because they wanted it to be "clean" (different threads). Honestly, this should be the least of your worries. It may not be a nice sight, but it's what they do. They even have IG pages detailing this stuff. If it does bother you that much I'd suggest a tarp, someplace outside or maybe a smooth surface which can be easily cleaned. I just don't think you should put your life at risk for such reasons. But as always, it is your choice and you have my support no matter what.

Another General Stulpnagel, Otto (Carl-Heinrich's cousin) committed suicide in a French prison in 1948, though I don't know what method he used.

I suspect that Beck and C-H Stulpnagel used 7.65mm pistols (aka .32 ACP.) German senior officers typically carried pistols of this calibre rather than the more bulky P-08 and P-38 9mm pistols.

Yeah, I tried to check for the calibre earlier with a quick search, but in all probability your right. Talking about the 20th July plot, Henning von Treschkow used a hand grenade under his chin, now that is the way to go. Poor souls.

I mean I would aim higher than the temple. Like an inch higher so I hit brain. But do I use my 9mm or 45. 9mm is smaller but higher velocity. 45 is bigger but slow. Afraid 9mm will fragment and not go through skull and .45 won't because 2 slown.

He doesn't even sigh that loudly, he maybe made a small grunting sound like "mmpff" but to me it seemed barely audible, the death seemed fairly instantaneous in the video in question posted by the OP.

Having said that, I have seen head shot videos that involved LOUD sighing and GROANING that really disturbed me, and deterred me from this method, along with the mess.
